Hello, I am Quatro, Polish player and streamer, I tried to make druid deck without combo, and I think that I did it. This deck helped me to reach rank 500 from rank 6000. We have here many ramp mechanics, so we can fast put on board our late game cards like boom, ysera or ragnaros.
We have also few removals vs aggro decks like wrath, swipe or keeper of the grove.
If u have any question I will try to answer for all ;)
My stats with this deck
This deck has many upvotes, so I will write a bit more about it ;)
Matchups:
Easy: Freeze Mage, Reno Mage, Control Warrior
Advantage for us: Face Hunter, Face Shaman (face decks have problem with so many taunts, if we can ramp one taunt it is probably gg), Dragon Priest (less removals than Control priest so he has more problems with our big drops), Renolock
50/50: Midrange Druid (who will first use Wild Growth, will have big advantage), Secret Paladin, Murloc Paladin
Disadvantage for us: Zoolock (we need to few early drops to win it), Control Priest (shadow word death can easy kill our big creature, entomb is painfully too)
Hard: Patron Warrior (probably with Malygos it will be easier), Tempo Mage (to big tempo, and mirror entity are killing us), Rogue (sap is the best counter vs our ramp)
Replacement
U are asking in comments how to replace Ragnaros, Ysera or any other legend. Just put to this deck any other usefull legend like Malygos, Harrios Jones, Cenarius (very interesting idea to play Cenarius here), Nefarian. If u dont have Ancient of War u can put Sunwalker or second Beltcher.
Mulligan:
Versus aggro u will need cards like Living Roots, Keeper of the Grove, Innervate, Swipe,
Versus control the most important is to get Wild Growth, u can also try to keep Naga and coin her in 4th turn, then in 5th turn u can put on board whatever u want.
Few screens from games ;)
5th turn, and we can have boom and ysera on board ^^
I would assume you can just find two big cards to replace them. Maybe Nefarian or Malorne
I was thinking Ysera for Nefarian or Alexstraza and Dr. Boom for Loatheb, Harrison Jones, or Sylvanas. Thoughts?
I am a fan of Alexstrasza for Ysera actually, simply because she works with Naga Sea Witch a bit better than Nefarian, but I think it is just personal preference (both do the job well).
Replacing Dr. Boom just comes down to including another decent-sized threat. Nothing can compare to the doctor in terms of value, but Loatheb and Sylvanas Windrunner are all-around good. Harrison Jones can definitely work if you find yourself having trouble with weapon classes.
Great deck dude i am really enjoying the concept and it is a very fun way to start the season. Thanks!
Chromaggus makes for a good replacement for Ysera, because what is better than 1 Dr. Boom? 2 :D
there are many situations when you REALLY need for [card]Ysera Awakens[/card]
Don't think you can think of Ysera as a board clear in any deck, 1/5 is just too low to depend on getting Ysera Awakens. Plus if you need it you need to spend a turn to play Ysera first by which point you are most likely dead anyway. She's a great card because you can get 5 different cards and they're all good, not because she gives you the game's best board clear when you really need it.
Played against those super aggro decks like tera's dragon aggro and others that consist of divine shield minions. It worked horrible since this druid has little answers to early game
What about puting Cenarius instead of something?? I just wanna use this card here. Like in old times:)
Instead of one Darnassus, for ex.?
Played with this deck for about 10 games, seems pretty strong. I like that it is very fun to play with! Thanks vrazzo <3
Love the deck, 7/0 so far.
i really don't know where you play, but in my world i play only vs secret paly, zoo and face tards. Sometime priests... so this deck useless in this meta
Naga ramp is the best.... Here is mine!
Holy crap this deck is so fun! I've tried several times to like playing Druid but I'm not a big fan of combo decks. Everyone expects the combo setup but I just ramp up and control them. Last few games I've used Rafaam then Naga + 10-damage-randomly-split curse and it's been amazing. Thanks!
Hey! Great deck man! I'd just like to offer my opinion: Would you ever consider adding Malygos? You seem to have a lot of spell damage affected cards (Wrath, Swipe, Living Roots, etc.) and Malygos with the Sea Naga Witch discount could potentially finish the game.
For example, this just happened. RIP Patron.
Hey interesting idea with malygos I will try it for sure ^^
Didn't have a second AoW (probably will craft soon since I like this deck a lot) so I put Malygos in in it's place. Works great so far, can usually get a living roots combo with him, and sometimes a wrath combo after one reduction. Also lots of synergy with innervate. fun card in this deck, would recommend ^_^
Ysera, but only because I diddn't have her. You should probably keep her in if you have her. Maybe take out Ragnaros.
I definitely like the deck and have everything for it and even have been working on my own ramp deck recently.. The only 5 things I'm heavily questioning is 1x Sludge, 2x Living Roots, Kel"T and Ysera... The rest seem like really solid good Ramp staples I've also been running..
There's just a lot of cards for a deck like this that can THEORETICALLY work really well.. Like Cenarius summons TWO taunts and can buff your minions permanently as a bettter roar.. Ysera often feels too slow/random to me these days.. Master Jouster's can actually work really well in this decks late curve and give a ton of value if you get it off, but it's still also random/RNG like Ysera.. Aviana is such a 50-50 thing where it can be really good or completely dead/too slow..works decent if you have a lot of taunts.. Kel Thuzad is definitely good but I question if it's an actual win condition you get off in an average match or if it's just another dead win-more type card if you aren't already ahead?
Any thoughts?
Oh and Living Roots feels a little weird to me without drakes or roars, especially in a deck that wants to get to later game.. But I don't know what I'd necessarily replace them with either?
