There really isn't much to say about this deck, other than the complete lack of spells or weapons; there's just too much value lost by using your mana for anything other than a minion in this brawl. I was tempted to keep Muster for Battle but in the end decided that we have enough good 3-drops, and that's without taking into consideration the most prevalent archetype this brawl (surprise surprise, Tempo Mage) which has plenty of tools to deal with the more traditional Constructed Paladin decks.
I used the space freed up by weapons and spells to make this deck as annoying as possible to wrest board control from. There are still a few inclusions I'm on the fence about, namely Sylvanas Windrunner, so this decklist is not at all set in stone - feel free to experiement and share what works!
Since MANY people have been asking: Why Summoning Stone? Wouldn't it just give you Wisps and Target Dummy? The answer is: No! Not unless you played actual 0-mana spells, because Summoning Stone summons minions equivalent to the original cost of the spell. So, if you play the 5-mana Summoning Stone on the board, it'll give you a 5-mana spell that costs 0. When you cast that spell, it will summon a random 5-cost minion. As you might imagine, the advantage this single card gives you in this brawl is ridiculous. Here are a couple examples:
After a few dozen games, I like cutting the teachers as well. They just don't really fit in the deck; I find them sitting dead in my hand most turns, mainly because it's too awkward to play them around the same mana curve as Summoning Stone; when you think about it, if every spell you cast is free, Violet Teacher an almost strictly worse version of Summoning Stone -- outside of its 3 attack and the possibility of a Doomsayer or Explosive Sheep.
Needed something for my 5-TB Win quest and for my new Paladin Skin; worked great!
High winrate my ass, this deck gets stomped by the many rush decks that get free spells, + questing adventurer. This might have been good on the first two days of brawl when people didn't know what they were doing.
work great for me, i just swap Sylvanas Windrunner to Tirion Fordring
score 5:1 (daily quest done)
Works like a charm! Thanks for the free pack mate!
Mage gonna kill this thing, or at least it did last time. Wyrm and Flame On too much to deal with. I give an up vote for luck though.
Fun deck; it helped me win the brawl pack and it helped me complete two daily quests! Thanks for sharing it!
Nice deck !
Thanks!
I threw Sylvanas in there because I don't own Tirion, basically. You could more or less replace her with Sludge Belcher, for what it's worth.
If you play Warrior, Sylvanas Windrunner + Brawl = win.
I think you're going to be seeing a lot more of Sylvanas now that a lot of "crux" legendaries are leaving, with the introduction of Standard form.
Whoever got her? Any decent control deck?
