Hi, I'm a fairly casual (I play daily, but don't really go for legend or high ranks) player from Finland. I have golden shaman got by playing midrange and totem shaman, two decks that I love.

With Shielded Minibot, Muster for Battle and other cards leaving Standard, I believe it is the time for midrange shaman to shine. So, I thought I'd make a theorycraft on what a totem/midrange shaman could look like in Standard. Of course, we don't know what cards will get nerfed or what new cards will be added in the Old Gods expansion, so this list will most likely change once we know more.

The win conditions of this deck are:

Some cards I'm not entirely sure about:

  • Sunfury Protector. Another card in mostly because I wanted more 2-drops. Some people believe that aggro decks will be powerful in standard, so this can taunt up some things to protect you. Might depend on the standard meta, and I may replace it with an Acidic Swamp Ooze if the meta calls for it.
  • Lack of Big Game Hunter. I feel like 2 hexes are enough hard removal, and this might get nerfed. There might be less BGH targets with Dr. Boom leaving, and this might depend on the meta.

I think that's all, if you have any questions feel free to ask them. I'm pretty new to deckbuilding in HS, so feedback is appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Edit 14.3.2016: Replaced a Sen'jin Shieldmasta with an Azure Drake and Flame Juggler with a Knife Juggler. This might change if blizzard nerfs it.
