Hi guys, i recommend you try this deck out. It's the ultimate control deck, with plenty of early game to beat all aggro decks as well as Pirate Cancer.
Updated for Gaz: +2 Dragonoid Operative = Best new Card. +2 Dragonfire Potion = Best Clear in the game. -1 Azure Drake (doesn't combo with potion) +1 Book Wyrm, as there are many 3/4 in the current game.
+ Brann Bronzebeard because we are greedy for more Draknoid Operative combo.
You will never run out of cards using this deck. Just focus on clearing the board each turn and mounting control of the board.
So far i have climbed rapidly, including a 9 game win streak
Mulligans:
Fairly standard in this deck. Usually we want to keep Zombie Chow and Twilight Whelp regardless of who we are playing.
We can keep Northshire Cleric, but we only play her turn 1 against heroes that can't destroy her. Warrior, Druid, Warlock, Mage, Shaman can clear her mostly. Great to play turn 1 against Pally.
Twilight Guardian I nearly always keep. We usually draw another dragon by turn 4. With coin Azure Drake is also nice to keep. We really want some dragon action early, a had of spells could mean you begin to far behind.
Museum Curator is ok turn 2, but I prefer to draw him rather then keep him in starting hand. He is a good card when we don't have much of a play and can provide us with what we need. Sometimes a 2nd Chillmaw which is handy to keep in hand.
First piece of negative feedback. Thanks for going against the trend...
yes this deck is useless.
My results of 27-5 don't lie but whatever. You can blame the deck instead of how you play. I think I will use this deck exclusively this month and post results if I hit legend.
Which is my point. This deck has been winning on turn 8-10 pretty consistently which is rare for priest. It counters face very well too.
It is a crap deck against face hunter and zoolock
I have beat every face hunter so far. Zoolocks havent been a problem either. There was a druid or two that had good decks to counter this and secret paladin seems to be the only thing that this consistently loses to.
This is not true.
Zombie chow and Twilight whelps work good early game for getting more on the board then them. and can soak 3 dmg. They can take out the 1 mana cards that hunter uses. They can trade for a 2 mana knife juggler. at 2 mana you can get a wyrmrest agent which helps protect you from weapons and charge with its taunt. You also get twilight guardian which has a lot of value in that fight. By that point hunter will have you to 20-25 hp and he will have no cards left in his hand. If he ever gets control you can use holy nova or lightbomb, but face hunters don't go for control. You can even heal your taunted minions and get incredible value. Your board control can finish him or if it gets into the late game because of bad cards you easily will beat him in top decking. He will get a 2-1 or 3-1 with charge and you can get ysera or chillmaw or something that actually helps.
Love this deck!! I removed 1 zombie chow because having one appear late in game is a dead card, id rather have another good minion to use so I replaced one with a blackwing tech to sync w/ the dragons.
I am 5-0 with it so far. First time really using the museum curators outside of the standard dragon priest and they are pretty nice to refill your hand and pick some awesome cards.
In my last game me and a warrior went to fatigue war, we both used elise's late in the game (when we only had 3 cards left) so it wasnt a big factor to him. I got a deathwing from my monkey anyways so even if he managed to kill my minions on board I would have just plopped deathwing down and killed him since he had no more cards and he foolishly put out varian wrynn from his monkey which gave him 3 fatigue cards.
Replaced Chillmaw withDeathwing. I am at 5-1 right now.
The first loss was complete RNG. Drawing hand was 4 mana plus cards. Redrew and same problem. Lost on turn 5 to early game druid.
Update: I am now 8-2 and the new person I lost to was using the same or a very similar deck.
Update: 11-3 another bad rng vs a rush deck. So far that seems to be the only real weakness.
Crafted Chillmaw for this deck, didn't regret it. Doubting to switch a Velen Chosen for Chrommagus though. Sometimes I run out of cards to early (RenoLock, Warrior).
There is no replacement. Would run two if there was room.
I'd like to test that deck, but fairly new player can i replace: Zombie chow, Chillmaw and Ysera with something else?? :/
Gadgetzan Jouster, or Injured Kvaldir may work for zombie chow. Zombie chow is great because he can take a hit and is strong for early game control which is where priest is weak. Then when he dies he heals the enemy hero 5 dmg which priest isn't an early game face hero so it does usually work great. Gadgetzan Jouster is a 2-3 if you draw the higher card and can replace quite well, but if not he becomes only has 1 dmg like Northshire Cleric and many early game priest cards. Injured Kvaldir works if you get a chance to heal him and are not playing on a turn 1 vs a mage.
Ysera helps very much in the late game and is an incredible card. The best you can do is to replace her with a high-level dragon card, same with Chillmaw. Ysera is more essential for late game and Chillmaw is a great board clear. You may be able to replace Chillmaw with another Lightbomb. If you do not have Lightbomb perhaps Excavated Evil
Jouster is good in this deck when using a lot of high mana drag/minions.
I think im gonna replace zombies with twilight whelps.
the deck already uses Twilight Whelps If you could have 4 trust me none of us would be using Zombie Chow
Yeah this isn't the ideal deck but if you mulligan for low mana minions its a very spell heavy deck and all the other minions are 5+. I mean personally Injured Kvaldir would be my card of choice but with such a mage heavy meta, that card isuseless.
Amazing deck! Beats literally anything if played right and the lovely fact it's a decent early-mid-late game that involves control and dragons. Never understood Secret Paladin and Face hunter players. Learn to have fun with style, twatty tryhards!
Oh yes, I am at rank 5. Winning streaks are real.
10/10 Kind Sir :^)
Is it at all possible to ever beat Jaraxxus!? I dont think I have ever won against him since trying to level my priest. Im at the point where I just concede against warlock out of frustration!!?? Someone help??
