This deck is based loosely on deck 31167 - Arthak 2.0 by tobischoergi but utilizing a few changes here and there to take advantage of the cards I already have.

I wouldn't call it a rush deck but it does tend to burn down somewhat fast without a serious amount of control. It can be somewhat tricky as it relies on combos to pull everything off properly. For example, a well-timed Hunter's Mark followed by the Stonetusk Boar.

Let's talk card choices:

Flare
It's situational, hence only putting one in the deck. It's great if you need to clear out stealth or against other hunters, but it can be used in a pinch as a free card draw.

Leper Gnome
Free hero damage! I've seen people hesitate before targeting this sickly half-pint, but usually decide a few points is worth it.

Stonetusk Boar
The original deck includes this as a cheap way to clear a minion after being reduced in health with Hunter's Mark. I agree that it is a good idea and have used it in a few games myself.

Timber Wolf
It can't hurt to pull this out if you have the ability to keep more than one beast out on the field. I wonder at the effectiveness of this card though because in my experience minions don't live long enough for this to really shine. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Tracking
Card draw, but I'm beginning to think I should instead invest in something dealing damage instead.

Explosive Trap
Freezing Trap
These are staples in the hunter's arsenal and should almost always be chosen, imho.

Ironbeak Owl
Decent minion fodder but great when you can actually use its silence ability against stubborn spell-casting minions.

Misdirection
This card has saved my bacon. The randomness of it is quite fun, but the biggest draw is the fact that it prevents hero damage. I might up this to two in the deck.

Starving Buzzard
Card draw is great, and since the minions in this deck are all beasts, it works out.

Unleash the Hounds
I love pulling out one or both of these when the opponent thinks he has board advantage. These can easily clean up the weaklings and even out the odds.

Animal Companion
The beasts you get from this are pretty solid. I'd say this should usually be in a hunter's deck (although not always).

Eaglehorn Bow
My favorite!

Kill Command
Free damage. Aim for 5 so get a beast out.

King Mukla
This is the biggest "iffy" card in the deck. Sure, he's special and legendary, but the big draw is that he's a 5/5 beast for only 3 mana. That's huge! The bananas could cause things to backfire, but I haven't seen it blow up on me just yet.

Spiteful Smith
This is great in a combo with Eaglehorn Bow to get a little extra damage. I think that makes only getting 4/6 with a 5 mana cost well worth it.

Stampeding Kodo
I included this because I don't have any of the epics/legendaries like Leeroy Jenkins, Captain Greenskin, or even Faceless Manipulator. I'd probably sub this out for one of those. If there's a better choice I'm all ears.

Stranglethorn Tiger
Solid stealthy beasts to have in a hunter deck.
