As you've probably guessed I won't update this list anymore, but feel free to check out my WoG Totem Shaman list.
I'm one of the weird people who love Midrange Shaman so much that they play it even when it's the lowest tier, but I try to adapt my Midrange Shaman list to the meta as good as I can and I've become legend with it in Season 22, Season 24 and Season 25.
Good matchups: Control warrior, midrange druid, tempo mage
Bad matchups: Secret and midrange paladin
Thanks to you!! I became legendary with mid-shaman
Wow, that's awesome. Congratulations!
Great deck! I started to use mid-range shaman. And I have trouble of fighting against warlock zoo. I cannot have board. How do you play against zoo?
Zoo is a tricky matchup. You basically have to use two different strategies depending on the situation.
When you're ahead, try to remove everything they put on the board to keep it that way. Play fast and do whatever it takes to build the most threatening board you can. F.e. if it means using Hex on a minion that is maybe not Hex target Nr. 1, just because you have no better way to deal with it and it fits the curve, then do so. Once you have a big board the zoolock has no chance of a comeback anyway.
When you're behind, just try to remove the most threatening minions and hope for a comeback with Lightning Storm while keeping the Zoolock busy trading. Use Lightning Storm in a moment when it can change the game (unless you have to use it for mere survival). It can change the game when it removes (practically) everything from their board and when you can put some of your own minions on the board that can deal with their next wave of minions, or when they can't refill their board because their hand is empty.
Deck is pretty solid but I'm having a huge card draw problem. Usually in turns7-11 i run out of cards and have to play topdeck. Lost a lot of games due to this. What's your take on this and how did it affect you on your grind to legend? What card draw mechanics would you propose?
I played with Ancestral Knowledge last season, but recently I've come to the conclusion that adding valuable, non-situational cards can be better than adding suboptimal card draws (and all shaman card draws are suboptimal, it's a general shaman problem).
Is there a swap out for al'akir? Don't have the dust atm.
Maybe I can use doom hammer or mistcaller
Doomhammer is fine in this deck as long as there aren't too many Harrison Jones in the meta.
When you have a board and no Bloodlust you always miss it, but when you have no board and two Bloodlust in your hand it sucks so much. Maybe it was just a bad coincidence, but it happened too often to me, that's why I replaced one Bloodlust with Loatheb, and it worked much better for me. Btw., Pinpingho has recently removed one Bloodlust and added Loatheb as well, I guess we agreed on this at the same time without knowing.
