Proof:
Why 2x living roots and 2x azure drake?
I’ve been playing double roots double drake since forever and it’s been working great for me. The thing about running double living roots is that it makes you vulnerable to running out of steam, but having double azure drakes makes up for that. Also the synergy with azure drake is great. Since you have 2 living roots, 2 wraths, 2 swipes.
why no darnassus aspirant?
With living roots you have enough early game. Darnassus just dies too easily and is a dead card in the late game. It is a bit overrated in my opinion. Usually you want to either wild growth on 2 or innervate something like a shredder anyway.
Mulligan Guide
Always keep: Wild growth, innervate, living roots.
If you have wild growth already, keeping a 4 drop is fine too. Same goes for innervate, if you have it. Keep shade for turn 1 or shredder on turn 2.
Final words:
In the end it's just combo druid, this deck has been around for ages and I it's actually pointless to write an extended guide on this since there should be plenty of them on the internet.

yeah, I only have about 45 wins with the deck, so not that big of a sample, but im using BHG very rarely, but more than thaurissan, just not getting any value off him, I swapped for sylvanas and feel like shes much better tempo, same soft taunt effect, bigger pay off. IMO
Posted below already but since a lot of people seemed to like it:
There was a really in depth Guide posted on reddits subreddit /r/competitivtehs.
Since this guide is lacking some in depth explanation and is more like a decklist maybe some people here want to see it:

Helped me a ton and might help you too.
is there any replacements for the Ancient of Lore
THERE IS NO REPLACEMENTS FOR Ancient of Lore , okay ?
I lose any matchup versus control priest (auchenai, elise, deathlord etc.). Any suggestions or just a bad matchup ?
you definitely want to keep BGH as Boom is a staple in a lot of decks still. You say you only use it in 2-3 of 10 games but how many of those games did you draw it in? Furthermore BGH is not a completely awful card stat wise 4/2 for 3 is about on curve so if you're pretty sure your oponent doesn't have any 7 attack minions (Priest, Pally, some rogue) you should definitely just be playing it as a body on the field. However most of your oponents will have a 7 attack minion and in those situations there is litterally no other card in the game as good as BGH since BGH is essentially shadow word death + a 4/2 (granted swd isn't as heavily gated)
I would add that, in matchups where you know there wont be a BGH target, play it early for board presence. Especially against Priest. Give them something to blow removal against.
It seems not to work well against aggro shaman, control warrior, secret paladin. Any help?
In 200+ games with this deck I use BGH 3-4 times, so I replace it with Bloodmage Thalnos
Currently I am ranked 8th EU, not climbing any higher for about 2 days
This deck is good for Control Warrior. Aggro Shama is 50% - 50% . Paladin for me is 40% - 50%.
need to keep [pressure all time. And against Paladin, u need mulligan swap.
I would add to the "lose" list any mage, tempo especially, as I see no way to play around Mirror Entity
Nothing can really replace it

- First time playing it.
- Starting hand: Ancient of Lore / Emperor Thaurissan / Force of Nature / Azure Drake
- Mulligan all cards away.
- New starting hand: Innervate / Dr. Boom / Ancient of Lore / Druid of the Claw
- Dead by turn 7.
420/69 best deck ever played.
This has been probably the best deck I have played in the last couple of days and probably the funnest. It took me a while to finally get all the dust to create it but now that it's created, I can't really explain how good it feels being able to savage roar and kill your opponent or having your opponent play defensively due to that. It is honestly probably the greatest feeling, I have been on the receiving end a bunch of times and to finally return the favor is great. At first I was actually running Kolento's combo druid which has one darnassus and one raven idol, and I think that is pretty good as well, I am going to play a good amount of games with both and give you guys the percentage. But anyways, I made a cool little video for this deck that you are free to use if you'd like, but anyways, I hope you all have a great day and night!
Because of the current meta, I'm going up against a lot of secret paladin, face shaman, and zoo, so I want to put in an Ancient of War, what would I remove from the deck to make room for this adjustment? (considering that almost all the cards seem standard in all combo druid decks)
i think take out 1 Shade of Naxxramas
I swapped out one Druid of the Claw for one Ancient of War and it's been working so far
I have only one FON, I get the necessity of it and plan on creating the second ASAP. Anything else worth throwing in there in the interim?
