Introduction:

This deck is an old variant of my Burstdown Miracle Rogue deck updated for the modern times. This deck is both fun and effective against all decks on the ladder. Using Lorewalker Cho, King Mukla, Edwin VanCleef opens up room for a great early game, while Mana Addict and Gadgetzan Auctioneer act as a late game finisher. This deck also features milling through the use of Coldlight Oracle and King Mukla in conjunction with Shadowstep. Using this combination it is possible to mill key cards from the opponent (such as C'Thun) while advancing your own strategy at the same time.

CAUTION: This deck plays much differently than a standard Miracle Rogue Deck. It has far less consistency and aims to win with 'big plays'.

 Cards Explained:

Minions:

Lorewalker Cho: Lorewalker Cho is used as a 1) Milling Agent 2) Removal Insurance 3) Variance creator. Playing Lorewalker Cho forces both players to play sub-optimally, delaying the tempo of the game (and allowing you to set up our Auctioneer combos).

  • 1) Milling Agent: Using Lorewalker Cho with spells can rapidly fill your opponents hand up with useless cards (such as deadly poisons to a mage, fan of knives, saps) and make them lose key cards from their deck. This likewise forces the opponent to rapidly reduce their hand size in order to avoid being milled, potentially giving you good cards in the process.
  • 2) Removal Insurance: This deck is filled with massive threats that can kill your opponent if they are left alone (Mana Addict, Edwin VanCleef, King Mukla, Gadgetzan Auctioneer, any cold blooded minion). By playing Lorewalker Cho in conjunction with one of these threats, you force the enemy to give you their precious removal cards if they wish to remove a threat from the field. You can then Shadowstep Lorewalker Cho if you wish to use any cards that you do not want to give to your opponent.
  • 3) Variance Creator: Against some decks such as Mage, your best chance of winning is creating as much variability in the game as possible. You can achieve this with cho by forcing the opponent to play sub-optimally; avoiding your mill by wasting cards (or not avoiding it and losing a fireball to a mill)

Mana Addict: This deck features Lorewalker Cho, Gadgetzan Auctioneer, Coldlight Oracle, and Tomb Pillager - all cards that can be used to increase the amount of spells in your hand. Mana Addicts, while not as beefy as Edwin VanCleef or King Mukla, are able to push out obscene amounts of damage (doing as much as 30+ in one turn). Use this card as a finisher by concealing it, or by playing this card in conjunction with other threats.

Coldlight Oracle: A great card for recyling your hand upon a failed combo, drawing your combo pieces, or milling the enemy with Lorewalker Cho and King Mukla.

King Mukla: This card gives you insane stats (5/5) for only 3 mana. King Mukla is crucial for beating aggro decks, since these decks feature very efficient minions for very low mana costs. The 1/1 bananas for 1 Mana are not as good as most of these minions, so King Muklas downside is minimal compared to his upside. Against control decks, King Mukla acts as a removal magnet, sometimes taking as much as two spells to kill. This allows you to get away with playing your more important cards such as Gadgetzan Auctioneer or Mana Addict without having to worry about them dying.

Gadgetzan Auctioneer: A standard cycling card for Miracle Rogue decks. Cycle through your deck and draw the cards you need to win. Place him under conceal with a Mana Addict for extra fun.

Tomb Pillager: A staple 4 mana minion in Miracle Rogue decks. The free coin feeds into Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Mana Addict, or even Lorewalker Cho.

Edwin VanCleef: This card is King Mukla's older brother. Much like King Mukla, this card over-runs the enemy and acts as a removal magnet. In some games, you'll have both King Mukla and Edwin VanCleef in your hand; the opponent will usually not have enough answers to both of these cards at once and proceed to lose. In addition, this card can act as a late game win condition to be put on the board after cycling with Gadgetzan Auctioneer.

Leeroy Jenkins: While not as good as he used to be, this card is still able to push out the extra damage you need to be able to close the game. You will not be saving the Shadowsteps for him, instead using them to buff Edwin VanCleef, pull shenanigans with Lorewalker Cho, or to cycle with Coldlight Oracles

Spells:

Backstab: A staple tempo card. Use it to clear the field and play your minions at the same time.

Preparation: An additional staple card. Use it much like Backstab, play a big minion and then preparation + use removal to clear the field.

Shadowstep: This card is used to:

Cold Blood: Play this card on a minion you think will survive the following turn and use it to set up lethal. Has amazing synergy with conceal.

Conceal: Conceal your key minions on the board when setting up lethal or preparing to a cycling with Gadgetzan Auctioneer.

Deadly Poison: This card acts as:

  1. cheap removal
  2. cycling with Gadgetzan
  3. extra damage for lethal

Eviscerate: Same as Deadly Poison.

Sap: Use this card to

  1. Stall for time
  2. Generate tempo by playing it conjunction with a big minion
  3. Mill the enemy by filling their hand back up.

Fan of Knives: A decent cycling card that pings divine shields or clears the board of 1 health minions.
