How to play:
How to actually play:
Pop the crates, rip open the presents, make your opponent cry.
In the current Tavern Brawl, at the start of each turn, a 0/4 crate is dropped on the active players field, if there is none already. Whenever a crate is destroyed, the active player gets to discover a card of the original owner's class (e.g. Warlock cards for crates from your side of the field). Their cost is reduced by 5 (and you only get to discover cards with a base cost of 5+).
This ridiculous cost reduction makes destroying the crates the highest priority. Most of the cards in the deck help you to destroy the boxes dropped on both yours and your opponent's side of the field as soon as they spawn. When you can open more presents than your opponent, you'll most likely win.
Have fun ruining everyone elses Winterveil!
Card Round Up:
Power Overwhelming - Kill their crate by killing your crate.
Dark Peddler - Gets other cards that kill crates.
Wrathguard - Has 4 attack. Crates have 4 health.
Youthful Brewmaster - Hides presents from your opponent until you have a way to pop them yourself.
Shadow Bolt - Deals 4 damage. You do the math.
Void Terror - Eats Crates before your opponent can even get to them.
Doomsayer - Kills everything, gives you presents.
Crazed Alchemist - Flips crate, shatters china.
Arcane Golem - Smashes crates immediately. Nerfed. Kooky Chemist does similar stuff.
Big Game Hunter - For other stuff your opponent might play. Nerfed. Blastcrystal for now.
Rest of the cards is pretty much to ensure early game presence and to prevent your opponent to smash the crates first. You want to have initiative, else you'll have a bad time.
This isnt the best deck out there kids, I'm sitting on a 50wins 4losses streak. I lost but they were very do or die and the opponents were tryharding themselves. The decklist I used was based from hearthstone top decks. I could grind to 100wins but I'm playing the new Dota 2 update atm, so I'm gonna settle for fiddy.
changes i made :
-1 Stampeding Kodo -2 Haunted Creeper -1 Big Game Hunter (just because i don't have the 2nd BGH)
+1 Sacrificial Pact +2 Soulfire +1 Loatheb
it works well, but don't mulligan for Soulfire, never.
If you have coin; mulligan hard for Doomsayer,Crazed Alchemist ; if you already have 2 of these (out of 4), mulligan for Shadow Bolt and Void Terror.
If you don't have the coin; keep Zombie Chow,Power Overwhelming,Crazed Alchemist; and if you have the curve for it you can also keep 3 mana crate destroyers, never keep Abusive Sergeant if you don't have Zombie Chow
hope this helps :)
The deck is pretty far from perfect and there's lots of space for improvement. The changes you made to the list are all sensible and I like them. I also use a list much closer to my "Refined Gift Brawler" I linked in the bottom of the description. I just kept the original deck, because I didn't want to switch it up too much after it already got that much attention.
Good job making the deck so quick after the brawl, if the idea is yours then you're a quite quick thinking person :)
I'm so glad you like the changes i made, and i hope i can help other people that are grinding gold from this tawern brawl.
btw i didn't even see your other deck, but i don't really know why you took out the wolves as they seem to work for me for example: T1 chow, T2wolf = opponents crate(if you don't have the coin)
Happy Winterveils everyone :)
For the record, I'm only at 8 wins, I don't have a big sample size of games and might misinterpret the meta. So take my comment with a grain of salt.
The games I played tended to either go back and forth, where both players removed all the boxes on the field constantly or the opponent ignored the boxes for the first couple turns and was out valued briefly afterwards. So I removed most of the stuff, that didn't consistently destroy a box when it came into play. That's why Corruption, Dire Wolf and Peddler did not make the cut. I added Brewmasters and Annoyotrons, because they can deny the opponent your boxes, even if you are not able to instantly remove them. For the same reason I'm also running Void Walkers instead of Zombie Chow now. I also added Loatheb for one BGH to be able to set up tempo swings.
Pretty good deck to use. Lotsa fun too!
mines so groot
By tomorrow evening Sacrificial Pact is going to be the best card in this deck, because if you aren't running Warlock in this brawl you are going to struggle to win!
Mage also works pretty well.
No idea why this is rated so high, it is awful
Cant beat them, join them, this deck is flooding the brawl man!!

Hahaha, exactly, when you have the chance to be greedy and Power Overwhelming your crate, corrupt their crate, do any combo of things that get gifts it is impossible not to want to go for it.
The video alone gets +1... but having fun with the deck, too! Thanks!
Great deck had lots of fun, ,my opponent conceded after being snowballed one to many times.
Thanks for sharing, Happy Holidays!!
Fun deck to use for the tavern brawl! Went against another Warlock and used SacPac on that Jaraxxus. Beautiful.
Love it when that happens... simply the best!
Try adding Baron Rivendare also works for your opponent so be careful
Dat curve
TOP! 15/15 win
