I wanted to try a silly deck with Elise Starseeker, and as I hardly play Hunter, I decided to give it a try here. Although its been a small sample size and only at middling ranks, the deck is surprisingly winning more than it loses, and most of the the losses have been close. Its beaten a secret paladin, a freeze mage, and a control/fatigue warrior, among others. There are maybe another dozen cards I'd like to play around with, so I'm sure the list isn't optimized, and probably won't be overly competitive at higher ranks, but its been giving me some fun with a class I don't play, so I'll probably keep playing it at least a bit and come back and update if I make any changes or if it hits a wall.
Fun looking deck! Did you ever end up making any changes to it, or discover ways to optimize play?
Thanks!
I haven't made any changes, but I haven't played it a ton since I posted either. I do brush it off when I have a hunter quest though, and it seems to especially do well against Warriors. had a game the other day where my warrior opponent Alexstrasza'd me and hit me with Death's Bite to take me to 11. I used Brann + Healbot to pop back up to 27. Next turn he plays Grom, and I respond with Acidmaw (which I had gotten off of Tomb Spider earlier in the game) and Powershot to kill his Grom and Alex. A turn or 2 later he takes me down to 1 and I Reno up to full and he conceded.
There are still a lot of cards that I think could fit in well here - among them Nexus-Champion Saraad, Loatheb, Kodorider, Defender of Argus, Mind Control Tech, Deathlord, Refreshment Vendor, Zombie Chow, Ram Wrangler, and Quick Shot. I'm not really sure what I might take out though. Sometimes the traps are high-impact, and sometimes they're total duds, so I've toyed with the idea of cutting them, the mad scientist, and maybe even the bow (though I might want to swap in Glaivezooka for Eaglehorn in that case) for some of the other possible early game like Chow, Deathlord, Vendor, MC Tech. Ball of Spiders is a consideration to cut as well. as it is sometimes hard to find a spot to play it, but I like the cards that create cards as fodder for Golden Monkey (thus Saraad seems like the natural replacement in this slot if I were to cut it). Rafaam often feels too slow as well, but he's also won me a couple games
