This is a guide for beating Arch-Thief Rafaam on Heroic. His hero power is a 0 cost Unstable Portal.

It might take you a few tries to beat him, but the theory is simple: make him mill himself. Your best chance to do this is to get him to play one or two Blessing of Wisdom on a minion, and then stalling that minion out forever. In my case, I discovered an Aldor Peacekeeper, Shieldbearer, and Noble Sacrifice, all to help stall. He will keep attacking and keep playing his draws, and fill up his hand very fast. If his unstable portals don't give him anything good in the first two or three turns, he'll just fill up his hand... and since he draws every turn, he won't get his unstable portal cards anymore, so he won't have anything to do but draw. And draw, and draw, and draw. Best of all, since drawing is normally pretty valuable, most cards with draw effects are horribly stat-inefficient. Hammer of Wrath and Holy Wrath just suck, even if you do want to draw.

Zombie Chow is there to help you survive. You can also try refreshment vendor, but he's a bit big for the shitty deck they give you.

You can also give him dead cards like Coliseum Manager and Anyfin Can Happen, but note that if he draws Anyfin with Holy Wrath, he'll deal 10+ damage to you. You can give him a bunch of other card draw -- Cult Master, for example -- but the deck only has 30 cards, so I picked these. You can also give him Sir Finley Mrrgglton, and hope he picks the warlock power for the luls. Rares are good, of course, and Alarm-o-Bot is very bad, so you could try that. Finally, you can try giving him Light's Justice to feed your anti-weapon tech, or possibly secrets to die to your flare, or even just high-cost cards that he won't play until late, but I'd only do that if you are missing cards.

Your deck might have an Entomb in it -- save that until you need it. He was dumb enough to play Varian Wrynn against me, and I just Entombed it, so that was pleasant.
