Legend proof :)
This deck took me to rank 1 and I only lost 2 matches from rank 5. At rank 1 it got a bit tougher but eventually I pulled through and reached legend!
This deck does really well in the current meta, for me it wrecked aggro druids, midrange and secret paladins, crushed rogues and had decent win rate against control warriors which pretty much sums up the meta in these top ranks.
The mulligan for a face hunter is pretty simple as you most often try to get 1 or 2 1-drops and a 2-drop. Having the coin gives you a great advantage as you can play 2 2-drops in a row which is pretty huge for face hunters. Mad Scientist should be played before Knife Juggler most of the time to bait out removals like Wrath or Slam (if you can play both on the same turn you obviously play Knife Juggler first). On turn 4 or 5 you usually wanna try and start using your hero power every turn to decrease the odds of you having to top deck.
The general strategy for this deck is to simply attack the face and get your opponent down to 0 hp as fast as humanly possible. Minions like Armorsmith, Darnassus Aspirant, Flamewaker and Knife Juggler should be traded into if they're played on curve because they can be very dangerous if you let them live. Other than those 4 there are very few if any minions that you should rather trade into than just go for the face.
After reading this you should be ready to hunt for them faces (Especially the face of Garrosh Hellscream as he is a hunter's worst enemy) so remember, have fun and go for the face. "The Face is The Place" -SMOrc
stuck in rank 12 for a month, try this *facedmg* *facedmg* *facedmg* now rank 9 and still going down :P
Ty for the guide!
Glad you're going down mate, keep at it :)
:)
btw gonna love all the down voters on this guide.... not
Congratulations on Legend mate! Happy to have been a part of that :)
only idiots plays with face hunter.... 0 skill... just trow cards on the table and go face...awesome gameplay...
awesome thinking kido... brainless
Eh, most of the meta is mindless now. Unfortunately the game is very often formulaic at this point so I don't think Face Hunter is actually anymore mindless than most popular deck types once you play them a few times.
The Reno singleton decks and a couple mid range decks are probably the only things out there that require any planning and original thought rather than just following a script of actions (at least for decks that can actually do well...)
Haha thanks! It is very efficient for a tiny bit of extra burst :D
Sometimes 2 Owls are too much... your thoughts an swapping one for one Hunter's Mark, i am already using it and and it synergys well with Haunted Creeper + i am using one Snake Trap. It was already usefull against decks that got a high life minion out early that could have made me loose the race and laugh about silence (most giants).
If you're facing a lot of Handlock then yes, Hunter's Mark can be useful for sure.Ironbeak Owl is very useful against Mages and other Hunters mostly, as silencing aMad Scientist can often be a game winning move :)
Hey, if you're having trouble with Secret Palas and want to add Flare and don't have Quick Shot then replacing one with Flare is pretty obvious ;)
As for Quick Shot no. 2 I'd go for another Glaivezooka as a replacement :) Best of luck to you :)
Don't play flare in this deck :/
Nice deck. I stuck at rank 10 with my midrange and hybrid hunter. Now i got to rank 5 with 18-5 in 2 hours. I also change one trap to Snake Trap. It's great.
I made my own version since I didn't have all the cards needed and I looove it.
I found that Hunter's Mark with Arcane Shot has helped me more than once with some legendaries that needed to be taken down :)
Edit: Ok, so I've removed Multi-Shot for another [card]Glaivezooka[/card] and took away the Timber Wolf and replaced it with another Knife Juggler, that should probably help
I'd suggest -1 Hunter's Mark +1 Glaivezooka if you have it since you should be killing your opponents before they can drop 2 big threats :)
Thanks, I'll do that!
Alright, best of luck to you :)
I made a video about this deck.
Hey, nice video :) Personally I would have used Knife Juggler with the hero power on turn 4 rather than dropping the Southsea Deckhandsince it's very good surprise 2 damage with a weapon :) Also on turns 6 and 7 it would've been better to use the hero power since you really want to get maximum value out of it :) Well done though on the win and thanks for the video :)
Yeah, on turn 4 I kinda forgot that leokk would give an extra 1 damage to the knife juggler, so I was thinking that if the knife from the southsea deckhand hits the druid, he would get cleared if he attacks the knife juggler, wasn't paying attention I guess.
