So this is was a challenging one to make. A cheap basic deck for a boss that puts up a 2/7 minion right from the start. Good thing it only takes 9-10 turns. If you're gonna win, 9.

Why is that? Because these are the choices that you must choose throughout the fight.

Last Minute Edit: Swapped 2xForgotten Torch with 2x 3-mana taunts. It was doing nothing there. I would also put 2x Tournament Attendee if possible, but that would make the deck cost more, which is not the objective.

1. Draw a card

2. Take 10 or 0 damage, randomly. Yes, it' a very RNG dependant boss, you really need the 10 damage to fail. This is the first step to beat the boss.

3. Draw 2 cards (If you got damage from the second choice, you're in a bad position, the best thing to do might be concece, but draw luck might be on your side. You need to have a Frost Nova on your hand by this turn, otherwise you will lose.

4. Choose to get one turn closer and allow him to summon a 7/7. This is seriously necessary, it's your final choice.

Mulligans: Novice Engineer, Mirror Image, Frost Nova, Frostbolt, Ice Lance, Jeweled Scarab, Arcane Intellect and early taunts. You can discard all the rest.

Always use Novice Engineer or Jeweled Scarab early. The best first turn is a Mirror Image or a mini taunt.

Second turn is about drawing with a minion and not taking 10 damage, which is a 50% probability for you. Third would be doing both. For example: Novice Engineer + Mirror Image. This happened to me (I am playing it again while I type this so my guide will be flawless).

Turn 4 is your multiple taunts or multiple freeze turn. I am currently at 23 HP and the opponent has a board of 31 damage, however I can avoid 2 with trades, 8 with ice lance, 6 with a taunt and 7 with other taunt. So that means I will only take 8 damage. And that's fine. The longer you hang on, the more chances you will have of drawing into a Frost Nova. So that's what I did.

On turn 5 he indirectly tells you all the minions will die next turn, so you choose the draw 2 cards option, and pray for Frost Nova. You either get Frost Nova or you die! I got the Frost Nova this turn luckily, so I may win this game.

Then we arrive at turn 6. This turn the ceiling fell, so every minion died. So it's a good opportunity to use Jeweled Scarab or play some taunts in preparation for what's coming. Why is Scarab in the deck? Because you may get either Ice Block, Ice Barrier or Frost Nova. And although Ice BarrierCard Name is a very poor choice, if you get either of the others, you will most likely win. I got an Earthern Ring Farseer, which is mediocre, it heals 3 HP but nothing great.

Now we arrive at turn 7. He puts up 2x 6/15 minions. You won't defeat these guys, so don't even think about it. I have 2 freeze spells on hand, but I can put down a taunt and Polymorph the other. So that's what I did. This allows me to trade with minions and allows me to save freezing for later. Very nice!

We are at turn 8 now! Here we either take the shortcut or do nothing. I have always chosen the shortcut, and you should too. You need to keep the overall turns as few as possible. You don't have limitless freeze spells. Now I just freeze 2 minions and pray for Frost Nova.

Finally it's turn 9. He puts 3 10/6 minions. I don't have frost nova, just a Mirror Image so I lost this game. I traded everything that I could but he still can deal 20 damage and I only have 11 HP. Game over for me. This is the second and last turn you really need to use Frost Nova, and I had bad luck. By this turn you draw 14/15 cards, which is half of your deck. So your win condition is to not get 10 damage hit and to have both Frost Novas on the first 15 cards of your deck.

This is the cheapest deck to make this boss, just basics and the cards you get from the adventure. Don't give up after the first three tries, you will make it. It's a boring boss but you will get there!
