During this boss fight, you'll be able to play minions on even turns, spells on odd turns. I think that hunter is perfect, since it has some great minions with an even mana cost, and some great spells with an odd cost. Furthermore, hunter has weapons, that can be played any turn.
The main difficulty is that the opponent starts with two minions on the board, but the big advantage is that he won't trade his minions. He can use other removals, but if you're lucky enough he won't.
The goal is to play a 3/2 on turn 2, then trade this minion with the Stonesplinter Trogg and use Deadly Shot on the Burly Rockjaw Trogg; if your 3/2 is a King's Elekk, you can also Kill Command the big trogg, than trade the small one.
Alternatively, but a bit worse, you can play Mad Scientist on turn 2, then Glaivezookaon turn 3. In this way, you can trade the scientist with the small trogg and make the big one trigger the trap.
This could sound complicated, but it is pretty easy to have one of the combinations above, with a good mulligan.
After the board is balanced again, the fight is not that difficult anymore. His hero power is not really annoying, and he doesn't play OP minions such as other bosses.
I hope some people will find this helpful!
EDIT: I replaced the Piloted Sky Golem with aSunwalker, since other players' feedback suggest that survivability is more important than board pressure!
Beat it on the second try with this deck...
Thanks!
+1
OMG! This deck is so good and I failed a lot of times with other decks but with this one i made it the first try ;D
Thanks for the deck!
Good deck, turned out he was very easy to defeat.
My only change was to use Jeweled Scarab instead of King's Elekk to better curve a Bow, Kill Command, Deadly Shot or Companion on turn 3. Really liked the Sunwalker.
Finally got this bastard with your deck! Thank you! Didn't have a second Glaivezooka so I subbed a multi-shot.
Got it first try. King's Elekk on T2, Kill Command on T3, rest was a cakewalk.
I won with this. Took a couple tries, but when you get a good hand at the beginning, it's easier to play things and gain eventual advantage against him which is easier with Hunter than Shaman...patience is the key with this match I've learned. :P
Wow this guy is tough! I finally got your deck to work for me, but it took about 10 tries or so. I also made the -1 Piloted Sky Golem +1 Sunwalker swap which seemed to help.
No doomsayer.(Important)
Very good.
THanks.(resisted for posting reply)
Best non-Doomsayer deck, thanks alot!!!
Nice deck, substituted Explosive Shot (which I don't have) but I didn'e even need it. Thanks!
Great deck. I've also used sunwalker, which I think it's necessary to survive, but everything else work pretty fine. Got it in the second try.
It worked. But I changed Piloted Sky Golem on Sunwalker; and it probably was one of the reasons I won. Anyway, thanks!
Your instructions say to use Powershot on turn 3, but there's no Powershot in the deck!
Amazing, got it on the first try! Thanks!
I should've recorded the match. I used a few of the other recommended decks, but this one worked the first try. Had 4+ mana minions before mulligan, then lucked into a freezing trap, kill command, elekk and he had no turn 1 minion, and from then it was a breeze. Finished with 17 health. I can't implore enough on how well this deck worked. Upvoted.
He does trade he used a lighting bolt on my mad scientist on turn 3
well your deck worked eventually. He really is just an annoying boss in this wing.
He does trade, elek dies as soon as it's out... and i get trogg turn one... junk
