I will try to stream at this time in between 3-5 days a week where I will be playing all of my decks posted here plus some other ones.
Hey guys Sigma here, 5-time legend, Deck Architect and guide writer from Serbia! Today I present to you my idea of the Beast Druid in LoE! I have been trying to make Beast Druid work for some time now, and I believe with the introduction of some new awesome beasts it can be made true in the expansion and even become a competetive deck!
As LoE hasn't been released yet, I can't really provide you with any kind of a guide, but as the expansion wings that we need come out, I will start working on this deck as soon as possible. After that I will change this deck to probably something like "midrange" as it seems like it most to me.
The deck would basically be in some way a midrange deck that is working on putting out some kind of tempo from the second turn on. The Haunted Creeper is supposed to give you solid early presence and Jeweled Scarab should be giving you a solid card, and with the high chances of it giving you a 3 mana cost minion, which is, with the help of your Mounted Raptors supposed to help you establish board control, with an occasional Innervate here and there hopefully. On turn 4, Tomb Spider should have you covered and maybe even give you a powerful Beast that you can maybe even play on the next turn like a Stranglethorn Tiger or another Savage Combatant or even Papa Cenarius, the almighty Malorne. You can also get another Mounted Raptor from it or a Jungle Moonkin. Druid of the Claw and the Wildwalker are supposed to enforce your board and help you trade your way into late game. In the late game, there is the almighty and infamous Force of Nature + Savage Roar combo, or simply Dr. Boom/Knight of the Wild. With the help of a lot of minions, and tokens from Haunted Creeper, there is also an opening of dealing a shitload of damage with a single Savage Roar early on.
Special thanks to Svanic, who chipped in opinion about the end product of the Theorycraft!
If you would like to see a bit more details and a guide, and if you like the deck, make sure you click on that upvote!
I would love any kind of feedback from you guys or your ideas so that we can make another different version of druid together! The first druid I created that went out of the druid norms was my Silence Druid, which will also get a buff this adventure with the introduction of the Eerie Statue! We will see, I will run two to start off with, if I don't see them as good enough I will probably just run one.
Yeah I think a 1 of might be better. With the new info about discover, it means you're mostly getting a class 3-drop. Druid's 3 drops aren't super good, Savage Roar or Druid of the Flame would really be your best bets, which aren't bad but you could just include them instead.
Mulch, Mark of Nature and Healing Touch could all situationally be good though, and I like the beast synergy with jeweled scarab, so try a 1-of.
-1 Force of Nature
+1 Ancient of Lore or Nourish
i'm feeling too that second FoN is bit clunky. And for deck is a whole it needs some draw. Looks like all discover cards didnt compensate lack of draw from THIS deck with synergy. BUT this whole points needs to be tested out. Maybe im wrong with my opinions too.
Made some changes, I think you will like them. Thanks for the input!
I'm not sold on Raven Idol, yeah it can (in theory) generate a beast, or a useful spell, but it's essentially a 1 mana Unstable Portal without the mana reduction on it, so I'm not certain if it's a good first turn drop.
That said, the bane of druids is nothing to do on turn one....
Thanks for the input man, appreciate it. I will try one Raven Idol for now but I will try two out too when we get the chance.
Nice deck man
Thanks man!
The deck looks pretty solid.
I'm not sure if Jeweled Scarab is good choice when we have such a card as Druid of the Saber which fits perfectly.
The Druid of the Saber doesn't activate the Knight of the Wild and the fact that the Jeweled Scarab can help you fit the curve if you don't get the Mounted Raptor or the Druid of the Flame is amazing.
Oh, I am sorry, I thought you said Power of the Wild. Stupid brain.
Then I take back everything I said. I thought it didn't lower it as my Knight of the Wild wasn't in my hand to start off with. I thought Blizzard fixed it so that it gets lowered even though it isn't in your hand but I was wrong.
I may be wrong about this but doesn't the Discover keyword only allow you to get cards that your class could actually use? If this is the case, you couldn't actually get a Savannah Highmane from Tomb Spider.
Nope, Discover is a global mechanism. The cards are drawn from the entire pool of the game.
Do you have evidence of that? Here's what I pulled from the hearthstone wiki:
"Once Discover is activated, the player is presented with three possible options. In most cases these are cards randomly selected from neutral and class cards matching the player's current class. All options will also match the stated criteria on the card, such as spells, Beasts, or 1-cost minions. Other Discover effects such as Arch-Thief Rafaam offer a more specific selection of unique cards, while Sir Finley Mrrgglton offers basic Hero Powers from any class."
Huh, I guess you were right. So Tomb Spider only drops neutral beasts. I guess it remains to see in practise when it comes out.
There are Druid beasts.
