Key Card: Elise Starseeker
Dunno if this works lol
Basically use effects that return Elise Starseeker to your hand and trigers battlecry several times.
Use draw abilities whenever possible to find Golden Monkeys in your deck.
Brann Bronzebeard combos nicely with Elise Starseeker and even Coldlight Oracle.
Edit 7/11/2015:
Thx for all the comments :)
For those who concerned about this, the deck this just showing a rough idea of my thoughts on this. It could be loads of changes after the patch hits. As you guys mentioned, three issues are essential to be tested later:
1. Average turns it takes to find the Golden Monkey.
2. Will we be able to survive before that? (Consider balance of draw power and cards for survival)
3. How good is Golden Monkey?
But anyways even if it is not competitive, I believe it could be a fun deck with reasonable strength to play :P
Edit 11/12/2015:
As the mighty Elise Starseeker finally unlocked, all comments and tests are super welcomed :)
Since this is a theorycraft that created one month ago, it should be lots of improvements on this deck from now on. However I really wanna keep this snapshot of my thoughts one month ago so I will not make any changes on this theorycraft. If I figure out a more feasible version of this I will save it in a new page. Also, I will be glad to see different versions that you guys created.
Have fun!
It just increases the chances of drawing the monkey. Thus it increases the average turns spent on that.
Once you played your first monkey and turned your whole deck into legendaries you just enjoy playing them :)
I SHALL HELP PLAY TEST THIS AMAZING DECK
I want to see someone's deathlord draw out the golden monkey and skip the battlecry.
For the lolz
Loved the deck. I would switch 1xSprint and 1xShiv for 2xSI:7 Agent to be more control-oriented.
why not just build your own legendary deck instead?
I thought this too, although if you can control the board with low cost spells + healbot and then decided to flip those cards into legendaries.. Rogue is probably best suited to at least try that idea
Plus you can only use 1 class's legendaries.
oh my god, I literally just created a golden monkey deck in hunter... Yea... something about what I just said sounds dumb...
And you shouldn't forget, that every map left in the deck and golden monkey in the deck will also be replaced with a legendary, so just one monkey no matter what (unless other Elises in the deck then).
It is really hard to say if it is woth it, it is an effort and then you are the BRM Dark Iron Arena NHC!
Thanks for having initiative to theorycraft this deck already.
Nice, not sure about the viability of Elise Starseeker! Wish you luck in playtesting.
This deck looks like so much fun. Def gonna be a main deck for me
I love the idea behind the deck and I'm sure there will be a video on Trolden once the expansion hits with someone playing the deck and drawing 50,000,000 golden monkeys.
Well.... Trolden has pretty much tossed in the towel with Hearthstone and started up a new Overwatch channel. Maybe crazy monkeys will bring him back!
Might want some taunts for maximum stall power - with all that drawing a couple belchers would be almost guaranteed draws by the time you need them, haha.
I was thinking the same thing. Probably a good idea to switch the Brewmasters for Deathlords or Belchers to make it more like a typical mill/fatigue Rogue.
This looks like a lot of fun which is important to myself, however I can't see it being competitive.
Plays Golden Monkey, gets Reno Jackson, gg.
Nowhere does Golden Monkey say it prevents multiple copies of legendaries - most likely you'll end up with 2-3 copies of a single one if you have a decent chunk of your deck left.
That being said, other people made the point if you have only one card in your deck, it is a mathematical certainty that there's no duplicates within it. xP
