Okay so I was looking at some decks here at Hearthpwn searching for some real decks, decks that actually create a good feeling when you win with them. So I stumbled upon the 'Priest is too hard!!! Let me play your deck!' (by loungegecko) at the main page. And I thought it looked like a lot of fun. So I swapped some cards to my own preference (i.e. I don't really like Mind Visioning my opponent's Coin, I'd rather have double Zombie Chow to actually have a chance against Aggro decks) and created this deck.
I've currently played only 1 game with it, but oh boy it was a game. I won vs a golden Control Warrior at Rank 10, and yeah, it was fatigue. But still, it was much fun! I managed to wait long enough with full hands, dumping the least valuably card every turn until he finally dropped his Ysera. lol
I'll talk about some of my own additions and other interesting cards below:
-Recombobulator: I love this card. I always wanted to mess around with it but didn't wanna spend 400 dust crafting a crad that's not really too much played. But I opened it last week and hell it was a Kreygasm. Especially the combo with Shadow Madness is quite mad of course (to which you can add a Shrinkmeister too, of course), but you can also use it on your own Cabal Shadow Priest or Nefarian after they've proven their value. Maybe even good enough in a deck like this to add a second one but I don't own 2. Feel free to try it out and share your thoughts. I personally think it will be a bit worse, and you'll have to play it on an empty board.
-Kezan Mystic & Mind Control Tech: I personally think these cards are not really needed, but I'll look more into it. Haven't played vs any Mages/ flood boarding decks yet, but I feel like you have so much AoE already in the form of Shadow Madness, Holy Nova and Lightbomb, that you will usually not get the value from MCT.
-Mass Dispel: I didn't really know what last card to add to the deck so I just put this one as a filler. I'll experiment more with it, but in my game vs the CW it was of decent value, silencing his Belcher, Armorsmith and Acolyte and of course the card draw is always nice.
-The rest of the cards pretty much speak for themselves, pure hard removal/steals and of course the card cyclers in the form of Power Word: Shield and Northshire Clerics, although I haven't played any PW:S's last game. But that was mostly because I drew them pretty late in the game, didn't have many useful targets for it and didn't wanna start the fatigue. Still, in the early game it's very good on your Zombie Chows and Clerics to counter aggro and start drawing your combo pieces. Speaking about combo, I am curious as to how Emperor Thaurissan would work in this deck, but don't feel like he's that mandatory, since many of the combo's that involve Shadow Madness, Recombobulator and/ or Shrinkmeister are played on turn 6, or a Lightbomb/Cabal, depending on the current board state.
Funny note was I actually didn't even need any of my Shadow Word: Deaths vss the Warrior, I could remove all of his big threats by just stealing them... xD I think cards like Thoughtsteal, Lightbomb and especially the double Mind Control really shine vs control decks, and are pretty good vs other slower decks too. So the biggest problem left was Aggro, but I think you can handle it with the double Chow, and Novas and Shadow Madness. Also the Shrinkmeisters can be played on turn 2 too, since you won't really have the time to sit back and wait for your opponent to play some big stuff you can play, of course ;)
Anyways, thanks for taking a look at the deck and reading my thoughts, I'd really appreciate it if you leave a like or a comment if you have something to say about the deck! I'll be happy to answer any questions :) I hope I changed your mind and that you will try to help me slowing the meta down a bit ^^ Have much fun with it!
