Nowada's Confessor Dragon Priest
Hello there, I would like to share my dragon priest with Confessor Paletress
I have really great success and fun with it, so I thought that I will share it here.
My current winrate with deck is 63,9% after 61 games (games were recorded rank 4-1). I would say that it is pretty solid, the winrate was even better but than I ran into bad luck streak again paladins.
Why Confessor Paletress? It is game winner in control games, sure it usually will not help you against agro decks (although it few times saved me by spawning Tyrion or Chillmaw) but against control it is awesome. For example I currently have 100% winrate against warriors - yeah it is irelevant after 6 games but I have won all of these games because of Confessor and warrior not having enough removal for all big threats in deck.
If you have any questions feel free to ask me, I will reply as fast as possible.
I also apppreciate all the likes and if we get enough likes I will try to write up some more info about the deck :)
Sorry if this too much offtopic you can erase it. If i can add some more info, against this SMOrc meta, other changes i tried before:
Deathlords (the OTK dragon, but i don't like it, too RNG), Wild piromancers (helps early plus aoe, could dies easily),
Faerie Dragons (helps early and the usually vital dragon synergy)
And 1 possible replacement that i'm running now is: -1 cabal + 1 kind of silence
Helps to get lethal or counter buff/taunt oriented classes: Pala, Priest, Druid, Handlock, Freeze/Echo Mage.
Ex: Early to trade minibot with whelp, Mid to remove a blessing of kings, Late with Tirion.
Could be: 0 cost silence (if you run pyromancers, or like the cheapest silence), Owl (the classic versatile option)
Greedy options: (that CAN work)
Mass Dispel (expensive, but recycle and could win you a game alone... coff...handlock...coff)
Mind Control (the greediest, funnier, and unexpectedly efficient. Tirion, Grommash, extra Ysera, you know xD)
I am not really sure what to reply to all this but yeah there is deffinitely a lot of possible replacements, I like the idea with silence because I actually played Mass Dispel in priest some time ago and it also worked really well. So if you want to play silence Mass dispel might be good and nobody really expect it. I am not sure how its gonna work in this meta tho because I have not really tested it. :)
I run a very similar deck with good winrate against almost any class:
- 1 Chillmaw & -1 Vol'jin (i don't have them, i would run them otherwise)
+ 1 Ooze (i don't have harrison) & +1 Kezan mystic
- 1 Cabal or Holy nova + 1 Lightbomb
As you can see, the added cards are tech counters:
Ooze/Harrison: Pala, hunter, warrior, REKT rogue, sometimes warlock
Kezan Mystic: Pala, hunter, REKT mage
And 2 lightbooms because of 2 mystereous xD, and also better against druid and warlock.
What do you think?
Chillmaw and Voljin are really imporant in this deck so if you want to play dragon priest you should really get them asap :) but we will see how good is dragon priest going to be after LoE with all the new cards. I am really looking forward to entomb for priest :)
Ooze is probably fine since you do not have harrison but I am not sure about Kezan I am not fan of this card in this meta because stealing 1 mana paladin secret is not really so worth it like stealing any 2 mana minion or board clear, so if you really want to run 2 lightbombs I would replace kezan with second lightbomb and keep cabal/holy nova because they are essential for this deck.
i was excited until i saw the paladin winrate...
I would say that I had really bad luck in my games against paladins but yeah deck needs more stats
