Hey guys !
This is my Malylock deck, working pretty well so far ! Legend proof : http://imgur.com/gxQ1Cyh
Matchups & Mulligans :
VS aggro decks :
You need to have your best early cards to win. Zombie Chow, Dark Peddler are key cards in these matchups.
An Ironbeak Owl can be also kept to deal with the early pressure vs like secret Paladin and Hunter.
Best start : Zombie Chow (T1)
Peddler (T2)
life tap into Peddler's one drop (T3)
VS control decks :
mulligan for : Zombie Chow, Dark Peddler, Twilight Drake
If you manage to keep a board, it is almost always a win.
Your late game is not so strong if you can't get a good Emperor Thaurissan (which means reducing Malygos and Darkbomb/Soulfire or Darkbomb&Soulfire. With this, you will be able to do your 17 damage combo with 10 mana.
Sometimes you will have to use your Soulfire and both Darkbomb, but you can win with your good creatures or sometimes a Malygos+Hellfire combo.
Remarks :
Abusive Sergeant is used for Big Game Hunter combo (on Tirion, Emperor, Loatheb, ...). It can save you sometimes !
You really need to draw one Big Game Hunter. If you cannot deal with Dr. Boom, Mountain Giant, Alexstrasza or cards like this, you will loose. Moreover, you will be able to kill Mysterious Challenger after Avenge or Competitive Spirit
Don't hesitate to ask some questions, I'll try to answer them quickly ! ;)

i changed 1 corruptor with chilmaw it worked well
Corrupter is such a good consistant card I wouldn't replace that for chillmaw.
this deck doesn't stand a chance vs mages, it crushes CW's but no mages or secret priests
I hate those secret priests!
I don't uderstand the cute cards like the Abusive Sergeant, Defender of Argus and 2nd BGH over something like Lord Jaraxxus for a better game vs aggro and control or just a pair of Zombie Chow vs aggro?
The thing is, you really won't get to a point where emperor thaurissan+jaraxxus is a thing against face hunter. And if you do the OTK properly(timing the emperor thaurissan correctly so you get the discounts for both malygos and burst, realizing the breakpoints correctly, and figure out if how much face damage your midrange minions need to do) can literally MAKE or BREAK a game. So because of the innate advantage of the OTK combo, you just need to manage your cards and resources correctly(like whether you need to tap to draw your win condition, or if you can just win with most of the cards in your hand) and mostly just becomes a skill matchup(which mostly gives you an advantage, since most control players haven't played against malylock enough to know importants cards and how much burst is capable). However control decks are mostly 10% of the meta at rank 5 and above ATM and so jaraxxus doesn't really make sense when your win condition are already very clear.(BTW jaraxxus is never an auto win unless you exhaust your opponents burst and resources.)
I'm a big fan and player of malylock and I'd be happy to tell you the matchups. However I've sort of stopped playing ranked in the past 3 weeks not because of how hard and grindy legend can be, but the overall staleness of the meta. Against secret pally it's mostly a 50/50 when you get a good curve. Just gotta rely on AOE and an answer for MC(if you have the answers to the pally's curve and have at least something on the board, then Boom and Tirion mostly can't finish you off. Against aggro druid i'd say is a 60/40 because of all the ways you can answer his minions, and at the same time have an overwhelmingly board full of minions. You just gotta dodge combo. Face hunter is a 30/70 since innately the hunter hero power is just so good against warlock and often times 1 healbot isn't enough. Against tempo mage 60/40 with a good curve. With a top heavy curve and no answers/minions flamewakers and mana wyrms can just run over you. Against most control decks(including dragon priest) it is very largely a skill matchup(and I elaborate about how to play control matchups a lot in the above post about Final Forum and Thornum) I hope this helps you and GL climbimg ladder. :)
Works very well in the current meta even without Imp-losion. I went 7-3 with it in this fresh season.
How well is your mu against control warrior?
Malygos warlock is extremely favoured against cw, it's in fact quite hard to lose.
This is simply not true, as Warrior can put up a lot of armor therefore escaping deadly burst range.
It boils down to luck really.
Bluscorpio and Thornum are very right with not losing by brawls. If you are very good with the deck it is very hard to lose, as long as you manage your resources correctly and exhaust their resouces. If you just let the warrior armor up into justicar into tank up you're going to lose, and although people complain that justicar is OP, the easy counter is being proactive on the board with 1-3 minions(I say 1-3 because of the fact that a good brawl can be game losing). Warriors have a hard time dealing with ample amounts and midrange minions that soak up executes + sheild slams. Also, while keeping his armor under control is good, the other thing is killing him. What I mean is how to manage your OTK. If you just slam emperor down with no malygos and no burst cards, get all your cheap minions killed, and then draw into useless darkbombs and soulfires, often times people will be salty and say "It boils down to luck really." But with a well timed emperor, knowing how much damage is capable, and how much face damage your minions have to do is very important. Matchups like control warrior, dragon priest, etc. can often times go on to fatigue, and knowing when and how to play your wincondition correctly is the game winning factor, not just luck.
Fun matchups like this where it is a huge game of chess should exist more in HS, but when people whine because the have all the tools to win the game but just doesn't execute properly really kinda holds HS back in some cases. I mean the whole "armor up resident sleeper armor up resident sleeper tank up" meme would exist if HS had a more skill playerbase.
I hope this advice helps out some players and give some insight to others, peace. :)
Really, no Imp-losion ?
Thoughts on Alexstrasza? Seems like a good card to include in this type of deck, especially if you use Malygos right afterwards. It's also another activator for the dragon related cards.
Alexstrasza is awesome in Malylock as a "second Malygos".
This deck is really.. awkward. The double BGH and Abusive Sergeant is really weird as well as the Defender of Argus and other iffy card choices.
Without proof of legend, I really question whether this is a legit deck to climb ladder with.
I'm pretty sure that in this aggro meta you won't need two Big Game Hunters, especially with one Siphon Soul.
I always thought you needed two Soulfires to do damage? Check out Trump's video and just make a few changes to suit the aggro meta.
