Greetings! I am KingOscarV and I wanted to share with you the Control Warrior decklist that I've used to attain rank 4 Legend on the EU server. I will not write a long guide for the deck, but I will try to explain why I've made some of the tech choices in the deck.

Edit: Played some more today and got up to Rank 2 with the deck. I later lost a game and went down to rank 3 again, but I will make another attempt at Rank 1 :)

First of I just want to make clear that this is a very defensive deck. Your main goal is to simply outlast your opponent in most matchups until they run out of threats. In some ways you could call it a fatigue warrior, but this deck has more late game cards which you will use to dominate the late game with in most matchups. You should really value your hero power when playing this deck and use it a lot. Let's for example say your on 7 mana and have the choice of playing a Sludge Belcher or a Shieldmaiden, then I would in most situations play the Sludge Belcher since it allows me to use the hero power on the same turn.

Card choices:

Sneed's Old Shredder: I guess the question most of you are wondering about when looking at the decklist is "Why Sneed's?". The card is put in the deck to serve as a late game card, I earlier used Harrison Jones in this spot, but found out that the deck sometimes ran out of minions. So I play Sneeds because it's a very sticky minion. It's a card that is very difficuilt to deal with for any deck and I would argue that it's a better card than Ysera against Control Warrior and Priest. Another reason why I choose it over 9 mana cards like Ysera or even Nefarian is it's mana cost. I want to use my hero power as much as possible when playing this deck. I value it a lot! So therefore Sneeds allows me to use my hero power and play my late game minion when I'm on 10 mana. That can make a huge difference against aggressive deck like midrange Hunter, Druid, Tempo mage etc...

Ironbeak Owl: Having a silence can always come in handy, especially with secret paladins buffing their minions and mage and hunter playing Mad Scientist. The main reason why I added the card to the deck is for the fear of Sylvanas Windrunner. That is a card than can completely screw you up, especially if you have a Sneeds Old Shredder on the board. All in all I think that it's a very good thing to have a silence available to you, so I the owl deserves it's spot in the deck.

Revenge: Mostly serves the purpose of clearing the board of 1 health minions against aggressive decks like Face Hunter and secret paladin. The additional effect of dealing 3 damage once your health is low is a benefit big enough to play it instead of Whirlwind in my opinion. Can also be used as a proc for execute or to enrage Grommash Hellscream.

FAQ:

Why aren't you playing Ysera or Alexstraza?

Alexstraza is a card that I find to be good mostly in the situation where you are starting to stablize against aggressive decks, but you are still low on health. In the deck cards like Justicar and Shieldmaiden serves the same purpose and I find Alexstraza a bit clunky on 9 mana since I can't use my hero power the same turn. I rarely want to use Alexstraza aggresively since this deck is really defensive. Just gain a bunch of armor and you win against most decks. The reason I don't play Ysera is because I find the Sneeds Old Shredder often does the job better.

Might add more info in this description if there's any question that's asked frequently.
