I really don't understand why Frothing is still in the deck instead of another value midrange minion/spell.

Imagine a card that's usually a spider tank for 3 mana, and usually draws a panic response from your opponent.

Sometimes it doesnt get answered and becomes much bigger than a spider tank.  Seems like a pretty good card.

Exactly. Everyone crying about how Patron is dead was missing the fact that only OTK Patron is dead. The deck is still playable because the core of it is still present (i.e. you're still spitting out free 3/3s on a regular basis while you're boosting your Berzerkers.)

Except the decision trees are less complex without the combo competing for your resources, and like most midrange decks, it tends to play itself.  It's less likely you will salvage a bad draw with superior play, outcomes now leaning more towards draw and matchup.  In short, this is a fundamentally different deck.

I think for most that were resisting the nerf, it was never really about Patron's competitiveness, but about how rewarding it was to play.  In a game where few decks are, unique archetypes like Patron ought to be preserved even if they must be reigned in.

Grom Is one of your main win conditions. Been playing this deck a bit recently. He just wins games, 10-12 damage with 8 mana, you can't really get that reach any other way. He's also really good on turn 8 against hunters who have to either burn removal on him or won't have an answer. If you aren't using grom, you're pretty much using a different deck altogether (like raging worgen with charge/inner rage), and that deck isn't built the same as this one.

I got lucky and opened a grom early in hearthstone beta, didn't really play a lot of warrior until patron, glad to see he's back in the patron style of deck.

Why not a Gurubashi Berserker - I know it's slow, but if we are using whirlwind effects and self-damaging stuff anyway, why not use this?  At the least it becomes a big target to soak up attention.

Trying out Ragnaros the Firelord, working well for me as a win condition 8 mana 8 dmg reach.

Why berseker ?

I can see an argument for including it. Its another 'must answer' threat.
