Hey guys! 2-month veteran and objectively best pro player richardpwnsner here! I'm here to tell you about my new (old) deck, which was inspired by the eponymous 'Danksteed', and created last month at a local bar while I shielded my phone and told everyone who would listen I was texting. The weird thing is, it works (8-0 this morning, and with a headache no less).
Well, actually, it worked. Then it didn't. Because Patron Warrior. As soon as I hit rank fifteen, I started getting decimated. But with the upcoming Warsong Nerf, things are going to change. THE AGE OF THE DREADSTEED IS UPON US, AND THE EARTH WILL TREMBLE BENEATH THE FURY OF 1000 (well, 28) HOOVES.
If this deck gets 5000 upvotes, I'll write a guide. If it gets 500,000 upvotes, it'll forever taint my google footprint and doom my career arc. Thanks in advance for ignoring it!
Update: now with more drunk!
Later Update: too much drunk. Now with less drunk, but more win.
HUGE UPDATE: A couple weeks ago, I was having dinner with Ben Brode, and after several snifters of brandy and some excellent sushi, I admitted that I had some reservations about removing Stalaag and Feugen from this deck. Ben scoffed (he's kind of a dick) and said only a scrub would run those cards. But I persisted, and when I finally found my words--"Ben," I said, "it's the soul of the deck,"--something flashed in his eyes. The smirk fell off his face, and he leaned forward, took both my hands, and simply said "Then put. Them. BACK."
Well, it took a couple weeks of haggling with my sponsors at Adidas, but I've finally done it. As requested in the comments, slightly less win, and a whole lot more drunken fun.
Protip: Always count your steeds.
4 or 5 is enough, 6/7 will make you have a hard time. You won't be able to drop important drops like Malganis or Anima Golem.
very weak deck
Nice deck - great use of Anima Golem!
Love that you out the combo forThaddius into the deck.
Previously I found I was winning a with a little too much consistency, which lead to tryhardness for #1 legend and therefore less drinking.
NOW I win less consistently but WAY more spectacuarly doubleThaddius usually means I can't even hit face before they concede, this gives me more time to drink and my losses are forgotten in a haze, my wins however, are burned into the soul....
Well, I went 3-0 in casual and then went 1-2 on the ladder at rank 9. The deck is definitely a lot of fun to play. I feel like it has promise, but needs plenty of fine tuning.
not possible to play without malganis i reckon?
Wish I had dreadsteeds :( but jaraxxuss and gianst are my priority now.. ( got 900 dust)
Seems like a fun deck.. People were afraid of giving patron free wins..
This deck got too many one ofs is the op not sure what he wants on the deck?
Would suggest putting kelthudzad instead of syphonsoul and removing shadow bolt for another imp gang boss, maybe remove the demon buffs for consistent minions.. My guess is that a dreadsteed deck is more zoo like than control.
I can't decide what's the best here, deck, desc or comments :P
My god these comments are filled with trolls.
This deck actually works awesome for tavern brawl.
I have a bottle of Ciroc that needs some company, so this deck will do nicely. Only one question: should I dust my Golden Onyxia for a Golden Dreadsteed? Or should I wait until I get bored from winning so many matches? CHEERS!
Dust the Onyxia and craft a Golden Hemit. That way, when they put the Dreadsteed into the beast tribe, you'll be able to beat this deck. It's the only way.
Holy crap, I didn't realize the crazy Anima Golem synergy!
+1 for drunk
Dude, add some more drunk. Like, the win is ok. but we realy need s'more drunk to troll the ladder and all the salty rankers.
As of now, I feel the deck lacks the ability to maintain the board past turn 4. Just can't hold it long enough to get that dreadsteed down.
then you should drink more
I should.
