I just hit legend with this deck.   Didn't change a single card.  I've played several versions of dragon priest to climb, but I used this one exclusively from 2 stars at rank 4 all the way through legend.  Proof: http://imgur.com/eTIZOlN

Thank you so much for the deck.  I think this proves that smites are needed to handle all the aggro out there.  The Valen's Chosen and Azure Drake are very useful in buffing it to a much-needed 3 damage spell.  Takes down shredders with ease.

 Just spent 5k dust crafting what I needed for this deck, I'll see how it goes.

But what up with your love for Chillmaw (I'd play it if it reads "kills all Patrons")? I know the deck still exists to some extent but i just played to rank 10 - 5 tonight (EU) and i have seen not one patron?!!

Chillmaw its realy important card in this deck? I haven't this card, but will i can replace it? I have got Dr. Boom,Sylvanas Windrunner or Dragon minion will be better here?

I have played dragon priest almost exclusively for the last two seasons and yesterday I finally hit Legend for the first time with Brodos' deck list. I played this exact list from the beginning of rank 3 to Legend and found it by far the best dragon priest deck I've tested, at least for this S19 meta. Winrate was 70%. Here's some of my reasoning:

- 2x Holy Smite. Works wonders against aggro decks, always nice to remove that annoying Knife Juggler immidiately and of course running two helps when it's time to play Vol'jin. Sometimes even helps to push lethal with the help of Azure Drake or Velen's Chosen.

- Blackwing Technician. Why this and not Dark Cultist? At the moment the ladder is filled with paladins and druids, so it's very important to have 5 life instead of 4. Five doesn't die to Truesilver Champion, Swipe or Piloted Shredder by it's own. I even considered replacing Eydis Darkbane with another Blackwing Technician since Eydis rarely gets any good use and seems to always hit face even if opponent has an almost full board. Eydis is good for removal bait at least.

- Chromaggus. I never realized how good this dragon really is until now. 6/8 is a strong body by itself but not a Big Game Hunter target so that's a good thing. Cost of 8 mana means that usually I don't play Chromaggus on turn 8 but more like 9 with Power Word: Shield or turn 10 with healing and card draw by Northshire Cleric for immidiate benefits. Chromaggus is surprisingly hard to remove for anyone but warriors and priests and if it manages to stay on the board for even one turn the game is almost always won. It also helps to have another dragon, 9 seems a good amount in the deck, I never had any problems with dragon synergy with this deck.

The only thing I wished for would be another 3-drop, but I didn't figure out what to remove. But anyways, 70% winrate at those ranks means that the deck is superb. Thanks for posting and helping me to get to Legend!

i have all the cards but am missing Vol'jin , Chillmaw and Eydis Darkbane 

which one would you craft 1st? (i do have  Sylvanas Windrunner as replacement)

also struggeling if i should craft Dr. Boom instead of the above with my 1600dust, as a more universal minion.

just tested your deck and got 4/0 so far. From rank 7 -> 5. Will swap chromaggus for something better. Ill save dust for ysera then

Voljin -> Mass dispel

Eydis -> SW death

Chilmaw -> Dragonkin sorc

Ysera -> Mind control

Cabal priest -> holy champ

Wow, this deck really needs eydis for the early game.  Nothing works quite as well for dominating the early game board...

This deck is fun, but somewhat inconsistent.  If you don't get a welp or a wyrmrest agent, and you're up against one of the million popular aggro decks, you're probably in for a bad time

EDIT: I also think I'm going to swap out Chromaggus for Nefarian.  I almost never get Chromaggus to work the way I want, and while Nefarian costs 9 so you can't heal in the same turn, at least I get the benefit immediately

I didn't have[card]Eydis Darkbane[/card] or Chillmaw but I really enjoyed what I played with I hit legendary last night for the first time ^-^. With the other decks that I played this was easily the deck with most wins, I think the deck I really only had trouble with was Control Warrior and Secret Paladin that had an amazing start.

But yeah I really enjoyed playing this I hope to unpack Chillmaw and Eyedis soon it sounds even more fun :) .

This deck is beast!!! i dusted a couple cards for  Eydis Darkbane & Chillmaw (one which happened to be golden Prophet Velen) . I have complete set no subs and so far so good (4-0). I must say it was well worth it. Thanks Brodos!!!

Oh man! This deck is awesome! I crafted Vol'jin for it, and he is sooo strong. I swapped Eydis Darkbane and Chillmaw for +1 Shadow Word: Death and Dark Cultist - and its 7-0 by this moment. Very strong deck! Thant you for it.

Thanks for the list. Went 17-14 around Rank 4 and 5 but last 12 games went 9-3 (now at Rank 4). I think it should be doing better but I guess I do not know yet how to pilot the deck correctly. I think I trade too much. When do you trade rather than just go face and let them do the trading? 

Then it took more than 3 months of casual play to get all 9 golden.........

Starting to struggle vs the new raft of face hunters. Any way to fit in a heal card? what would you suggest?

Can i replace Eydis Darkbane with anything? 

More Blackwing Technicians, or Dark Cultist. Or I suppose Fjola if you're into that sort of thing... Really this deck wants to curve out nicely to maintain tempo, so you need to replace it with a three drop. Luckily Priest has no shortage of them.
