Zetalot just hit Rank #1 EU with this non-dragon Control Priest.
Ysera was a Confessor Paletress for majority of the season.
This is literally the same deck as Kolento's
http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/kolentos-season-19-control-priest/
-Vol'jin
Basically the same, yes, also this was posted before Season 19, which is when Kolento's is from. But they're both great priest players, and pros, so who cares if their decks are the same.
In aggro matchups, always keep Northshire Cleric. Against Face Hunter/Paladin it will give you a huge card advantage over them, and Paladin usually can't deal with it until turn 3-4. Against other aggro matchups still keep her but only play her with a PWS.
Zombie Chow and Wild Pyromancer are also great cards against aggro.
Against Zoolock or Mech Mage, Auchenai Soulpriest can be kept with Circle of Healing.
In control matchups, usually keep Cleric. Against Paladin, see above, otherwise only play her with a PWS.
Injured Blademaster can be kept with Circle to provide a crazy tempo swing over your opponent.
You can also keep the beast that is Holy Champion.
So i played a few games with Paletress instead of Ysera. Worked out quite well. Really fun deck.
But I am really thinking about removing one Lightbomb. Most of the times one Lightbomb in the Deck is enough. Just don't know with what i want to replace it.
usually i swap it out depending on what i'm seeing with another holy nova.
a question for those who have actually tried this deck
how does justicar separates this deck from other control priest versions without it?
ty
Doubles your healing power, and also your damage with auchenai. hth.
is it worth crafting?
for multiple decks, yeah. strong with warrior and paladin at the moment, i'm sure more decks will figure out ways to use it too.
thanks!
-Holy Champion + Nexus-Champion Saraad
-Thoughtsteal + Acidic Swamp Ooze
works out pretty well
All I'm missing is Vol'jin. Is he replacable, and if so, with what?
mind control is good voljin replacement generally for priest decks.
I don't have 1x Lightbomb and 1x Cabal Shadow Priest . Any advice?
Exactly the same here, would love to know!
Edit: I've added one more Holy Nova and Velen. Also removed one Thoughtsteal, added an Acidic Swamp ooze. Will update after I have played 10 games or so with this deck.
After 10 games played with this deck, here are my thoughts:
I had a 70% win rate, with my 3 losses against 2 zoo locks and 1 secret paladin. In the majority of the games, my curve was amazing and the draw was pretty sweet, but several games I didn't get to play my first minion till turn 4 ish.
Unfortunately I did not encounter any patron warriors, so I cannot comment there.
I did encounter one ramp druid that gave me a pretty rough time, and almost took me out at turn 5. I got pretty luck with draw, but essentially this deck does seem to struggle with aggro decks, so I may try removing the Velen and adding a taunt.
How about removing one Thoughtsteal and adding Harisson Jones? Is that good idea?
Btw this deck sucks vs Patron Warrior.
don't worry patron will die soon.
Missing both Voljin and Justicar in this deck. Have only enough dust for one which one should I go for first? I'm leaning towards Justicar since I could use it in my CW too.
Also is this deck good against aggro hunters and paladins and secret paladins? They swarm at rank 1, 2 in my server.
JT easily since its neutral, best used in Priest, Paladin and Control Warrior decks, and could be fun in others as well
