FINALLY i returned to hearthstone and after a month desided to update this "Demonhandlock" which i created a year ago, lul.
Short foreword
Haven't played hs for a year, because of school, but finally, have much time for this game and already hit legend 3 times with 3 accounts in November. Maybe will try myself in cybersport (:
So, english is not my main, don't blame me for grammar or something like that, please <3
As a usual i did last year, this time it's going to be a very detailed guide: card discussion, mulligans, matchups, winrates.
Also if you read this, probably i'm already streaming (first time) and hitting legend with this deck on other accounts to show you how to play this most effectively, so check it out! https://www.twitch.tv/pvahs
Another short foreword about the deck.
Played ~350 games using this deck, currently having a very high winrate. Last time hitted legend with 79% winrate, some screenshots below this spoiler. Deck seems one of the strongest for ladder and maybe i'll try to reach top200 with it in the end of month. Renolock is not really easy but i'll try to explain you some key things and soon will post some videos (after creating YT channel)) )
+1 win against renopriest(idk, but track-o-bot lagged and didn't write that) Hitted that 12/17, but haven't played ladder much. On the first day of msog hitted 5 rank with aggrocanser/renolock, then haven't played ladder for 2 weeks. so from rank 5-> legend took me ~4 days, i didn't count, cause didn't think that i'm gonna write here something again.
THE GUIDE
Card discussion
I will only give you quick explain for cards, which not all renolocks use.
Dirty Rat
You don't see this card in my deck, but i tried it a lot. The key thing here is your meta. If you face aggro shamans A LOT (you know, shamanstone still exists, but now there are too many aggro shamans with Flamewreathed Faceless and Aya Blackpaw, and it's to risky to play this card against them on turn 2->5, because you have not any good answer for that (usually you haven't). Dirty Rat is extremely good against control decks, because you can ruin so many good combos: Kazakus, Brann Bronzebeard, Leeroy Jenkins, Gadgetzan Auctioneer and others, BUT i don't use it, due to aggro shamans/dragon warriors meta. If you meet mostly control decks, i highly recommend you to use it and card substitutions for the deck will write down, so you need to scroll the main guide.
Blastcrystal Potion
Blastcrystal Potion is extremely good against big minions in early game like Flamewreather Faceless, Mountain Giant, Twilight Drake and a very good cheap removal in lategame. It destroys one of your mana crystal but that doesn't matter much.
Abyssal Enforcer
Perfect new card for renolock which can even synergy with your Sylvanas Windrunner in different ways. It allows you to board clear against "spam minions decks" like Jade decks, aggro and tempo decks.
Lord Jaraxxus
To be onest, this is my favorite card in a game since i tried handlock decks 2 years ago. Right know, the most part of renolock decks use Ragnaros the Firelord instead Lord Jaraxxus, but i think for ladder it's still more valuable, also it's one of your win condition against all control decks. Even against aggro after you played Reno Jackson sometimes you have to play Lord Jaraxxus to stay alive. In mirror match i think Jaraxxus > Rag, but i'll talk much more, how to play mirror, because it's the most interesting matchup.
Sylvanas Windrunner
Recently i found this card a bit weak in current meta, because sometimes it's seems very slow, and maybe i'll replace it with something. But still, one of the strongest legendary in a game and combo with Shadowflame can rekt your opponent. Also this card has a good synergy with Abyssal Enforcer, Blastcrystal Potion, you know.
Leeroy Jenkins
Leeroy Jenkins + Power Overwhelming + Faceless Manipulator = 20 damage
Leeroy Jenkins + Power Overwhelming + Faceless Manipulator + another po or Soulfire from Dark Peddler = 24/28 damage
Standard combos -> one of your win condition
now i rly need monet xD
so i can boost u to legend for ~15-20$, depends on your rank if you have aggro shaman/pirate warrior/reno warlock/renomage
pm me)
Kabal courier
It's a rare you can only get by owning BRM. Not everyone does.
and also BRM is going to be wild soon...
FINALLY writing the guide for msog<3
http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/678308-93-winrate-super-in-depth-guide-legeind-in-1-day
btw the deck, which i hit legend in 14 hours. Made super in-depth guide for it, too
Anyway, when Gadgetzan is out, i'll made more decks, maybe start coaching amd stream (:
Sya in 2 days!
Well, people, sorry for no updating, but in Gadgetzan we'll see what to do... Think it's gonna be Renolock, but the best version with updated guide.
But idk, to make a new deck or update this one? But i'm gonna change everything
Update Please!
Tyvm and yes I've been getting alot of success with brann for coil as well! He brings so much value to this deck and honestly like this better than Renolock now.
If you play alot of other midrange/control decks, then go for sylvanas. If you play warlock only go for ganis
So many spelling mistakes NotLikeThis
But my English isn't good either lol... nice deck imo, got a solid win rate tho
I am completely bewildered as to why Voidcaller is a good fit for a Handlock deck.
In the setup proffered, the only demons are a Doomguard, Jaraxxus; and Mal'Ganis.
Jaraxxus is nearly a waste if played via Voidcaller. Mal'Gains is great, but the demon buff goes underutilized. Doomgaurd could be useful, however, there is only one and you risk discarding useful cards unintentionally.
In my mind, the card slots needed for Voidcaller, Doomguard, and Mal'Gains, verse the versatility and general usefulness, are not worth it.
The four slots could be put to better use by adding another Hellfire and Shadowflame, a second Ironbeak, and Ragnaros.
This point is furthered by the fact that Voidcaller, in the proffered deck, would be a 4th turn card. The deck already has better 4th turn drops. In the best scenario, you would drop a Voidcaller 4th turn, have Mal'Gains in your hand, and then the opponent chops the Voidcaller (very stupidly). I just see that as such a narrow situation that it just doesn't make since.
Maybe I am an idiot and I am completely wrong. Who knows. But that's just my two cents.
2 things: malganis out of voidcaller is not only great, its game winning. also, lord jaraxxus as a taunted minion or normal minion is NOT a waste, it wins games in the right matchups, like tempo mage or zoo or shaman that runs out of hex.
Beat a secret Paladin with some BM. Oh how great it feels to double clear two mysterious challengers and their secrets with ease. 10/10 would BM again.
Great deck! Solid and balanced!
Just one replacement - Faceless Manipulator instead of [card]Sludge Belcher [/card]
2 malganises on turn 5 - pretty standard situation)))
Why 86 "coma" 4 % in graphic?
He said that english is not his native language..
"86.4%" isn't English.
There are lots of countries in the world that uses coma as decimal symbol.
He's Russian, proof on the first screenshot.
