9/13/2015 UPDATE: +1 Consecrate -1 Blessing of Kings
9/23/2015 UPDATE: +1 Annoy-o-tron +1 Blood Knight +1 Blessing of Kings -1 Coghammer -1 Argent Protector -1 Argent Horserider
Annoy is safer on curve than Argent, Blood Knight is really good in the meta as it gives you an easy 6/6 with just your own creatures, and can give you some huge blowouts vs other paladin/mech decks.
Meta has changed, so have our matchups. For awhile there I wasn't very happy playing this deck after my very clean run to legend, but now that things are a bit more stable I think we're in a pretty good spot.
Hi, my name is Bosta and I'm a magic the gathering player finally putting forth a serious effort in Hearthstone. Hopefully you see more of me in the future.
I started with the meta snapshot aggro paladin from tempostorm, and I was doing really well with it. Soon I started making changes based on the meta I was seeing. My first day of playing it I had an 82% win rate, getting to rank 2. Day 2 I spent a couple hours and after a couple on-tilt mistakes and bad matchups finally hit legend ending at 71%. I started playing this deck at rank 8 and clocked in 76 games.
Multiple people have been asking for my list, and have been having mediocre success. I find this deck a lot harder to play than other aggressive strategies (Face hunter) or control strategies. You need to know when trading is profitable and when to go to the face. I can promise you if you stick with this deck you will become a better player, and for those naturally good at knowing who/what to attack you'll do great.
This is the snapshot of my deck I utilized at rank 2 for the meta I was facing which roughly consisted of:
Secret Paladin, Midrange Hunter, Druid, Control Warrior
Against these decks cards like Consecration lose their value significantly. If you are unable to profitably trade and are falling behind on board, consider replacing an Equality/1 Blessing of Kings for 2 Consecrate. This would be in the face of other aggressive paladin decks, Demon zoo (Implosion is brutal), and token druid. Consecrate doesn't line up well against Mech Mage, or the majority of midrange strategies I find. It also plays poorly with Divine Favor.
With enough upvotes I'll make a mulligan guide and perhaps do some more card evaluations. I think the only card I want to touch upon is:
Coghammer
![]()
-This card is nuts. It basically controls the board on its own vs Face Hunter, Tempo Mage, Zoo and Secret Paladin. I have nothing but praise for it, as it pulls double duty vs midrange decks that cannot commit multiple creatures to the board allowing you free reign to cave in their face.
Hope you like my deck, and I'm excited to share more of my lists in the future.
Matchups
Excellent(75%+)
Handlock (Equality, owls and divine favor. Hard to lose)
Good(60%+)
Secret Paladin (This deck finally stabilized, and we are a lot better vs the aggressive versions than the midrange one. It's a slightly favourable matchup)
Midrange Hunter (It's a crap shoot on what secrets they have, but do your best to play around them. Unless we run real bad and they get perfect animal companions/curve out perfectly into highmane we have an advantage. Keep the board as clear as you can until it's time to space jam their face. A well timed mid game taunt from Cog or Annoy can wreck them. Don't be afraid to owl Shredders/Highmane and trade if you can afford to)
Control Warrior (No Justicar one time -_- We can run these guys over, Divine Favor and Divine Shields are MVP)
Shaman (This might be 75%+, I never see them anymore)
Face Hunter (We can usually just keep the board clear and burst them down faster than they can burn us out. Be mindful of unleash and explosive)
Even(50%)
Druid
Zoo
Dragon Priest
Bad (Sub 50%)
Deathlord Priest (You want owls and favors real bad)
Mech Mage (This matchup got a bit better with recent inclusions, probably around 45%)
Patron Warrior (I think this matchup got better. I feel like we're getting close to the 50% mark)
Here are my raw stats I kept track of in a notepad for those who are interested with some random notes attached.

Posted Oct 1, 2015 (TGT Launch)if you have coin save a 2 drop, if you dont then mulligan for 1 drop. I like to keep muster and minibot is a definite keep. so the ideal hand would be (ie): argent squire, minibot, muster. or leper gnome juggler and muster. comboing muster with knife juggler is pretty damn good. if you are playing a slow deck, like control warrior or priest, then you can consider keeping divine favor cuz the deck runs out of juice quickly and you really want to draw into more damage. use your muster weapon to trade off minions like silverhand recruits to save your own minions which translates into more damage. overall, face is still the place.

Posted Sep 24, 2015 (TGT Launch)I disagree with the Blood Knight & Annoy-o-Tron changes. They're very defensive plays in an all out aggro face deck. I also found Leeroy to be a dead card most of the time. The whelps break divine shields, kill 1 health minions, etc. It's also bad when it just sits in hand from turn 1 and prevents a potential additional draw from Divine Favor. It's already bad when you have two Divine Favors in hand without any other cards. Don't need another dead card. And the Arcane Golem gives too much advantage to your opponent for just 1 extra damage. I replaced those two with Wolf Riders. Also, Consecration isn't really necessary, as it provides a mere 2 damage and is a control type card. I found a second Kings to be much more beneficial. I was thinking of removing the Equality too, but it's very useful against patrons, so I changed my mind.
Overall, this is an extremely cheap and good face deck from my experience. Maybe other people are luckier than I am with the original & updated deck, that I don't know. Just sharing my experiences. Cheers.

Posted Sep 25, 2015 (TGT Launch)It is okay to slow down you really want complete board control as much as possible. You don't wanna go all face til you see lethal or 2 turns set up lethal. Leeroy can be a dead card if you draw it too early but it's a really good finisher. I love playing him on turn 6 along with blessing of might. 9 damage from hand+board usually deals more than 17 damage in 1 turn. Consecration is somewhat necessary to kill off the 1/1s from secret paladin and also preventing to trigger avenge(if they all die) or competitive spirit. Bloodknight is just another counterplay to other paladins and they don't usually have answer straight away for 6/6 beside aldor peacekeeper.

Posted Sep 25, 2015 (TGT Launch)Well, as I said, everything differs based on personal experience. The meta is in constant flux and minor changes are happening to every kind of deck all the time.
For my kind of play style I was stuck in place with the original deck until I made the modifications that I mentioned. With this deck I avoid trading as much as possible unless I absolutely have to remove something, such as Armorsmiths, Knife Jugglers, Darnassus Aspirants, Flamewakers, etc...
I played a lot of Rogue pre TGT, but dropped it after for obvious reasons, so I tend to kinda avoid combos, for the most part... and Blood Knight is too gimmicky for my play style. I'm not saying that it won't work, just that I don't find success with it. We aren't all facing the same people, after all. I mean, who but me runs into 4 different mech / arcane missile mages in a row? Never ever lucky.jpg

Posted Sep 25, 2015 (TGT Launch)Arcane Golem is what you're looking for. Boom is never bad I reckon but Arcane is as close to Leeroy as it can get.

Posted Sep 24, 2015 (TGT Launch)Doing some updates to the post, guys. Decklist updates and some new matchup information now available! I will work on a mulligan guide if we get this thing rolling again.
Congratulations to those who have ranked up significantly with this list, and to all of you who stuck with it and learned to become an excellent aggro player. It's not easy knowing when to trade and when to go face, but this deck I feel significantly rewards you for making this crucial decisions.

Posted Sep 21, 2015 (TGT Launch)Hey man, just wanted to say I absolutely love this deck. I usually play a slightly more traditional aggro pally but was getting bounced around and generally just struggling a bit. Tried this deck list out and cruised all the way up to rank 9 (highest I've been yet) and am still going.
I love the list and feel like it gives you all the tools you need to just crush your opponents if they have a moderate to weak early game. I was skeptical of the 70% win rate at first but I'm starting to be convinced now!!
Also, what do you think about running one Seal of Champions over a Coghammer? I have found that being able to directly put a divine shield on a high-value minion while giving them a buff has been very useful for late game reach into lethal as well as helping my high-priority minions survive board clears. I can see arguments both ways so I am curious as to what you think.

Posted Sep 24, 2015 (TGT Launch)My issue with Seal is that it's not very comparable to coghammer. Cog gives you a taunt/divine shield, and allows you to clear the board vs aggressive decks or push an aditional 6 to face while not over-committing to one creature. I've made some new changes, I hope you like them!
I like Blessing of Kings a lot, though. I put the second back in as it gives the deck so much more reach. Nothing I love more than 10 power Leeroy on turn 9, or a turn 5 South-Sea Deckhand with Kings while you have a weapon equipped.
I could be real wrong with Seal, but with anything if it's really working for you don't let my opinion stop you. It's not a bad card, I just don't think it's as high of impact.

Posted Sep 21, 2015 (TGT Launch)Just hit legend with this list without consecration and instead a second kings. Think I only had one win against patron after rank 4, that match up was just brutal for me. I went better than 50/50 against mech mage, but variance and all that.
Just wanted to say thanks fun deck.

Posted Sep 21, 2015 (TGT Launch)Hey bro, can u give me some tips about how do u play? You control the board or go straight to face?
I am stucked at rank 14.. My problem is when the enemy starts to have some strong minions on the board and I dont have equality.. in this case i should try to control the board or go to face? Thx dude

Posted Sep 21, 2015 (TGT Launch)You want to make good trades when you can especially in the early game to establish a board presence, but at some point you have to commit to dealing damage to face and know when you have the answer for their possible defensive plays.
That is really reductive but try to not let enemy snowball their board while growing yours. Divine shield is your friend.
