Daily streams where I'm trying to get #1 Eu with Shaman - www.twitch.tv/11point5ft < follow to help me out :D

Hey everyone!

As a hearthstone masochist I've been maining shaman since I started playing this game. After TGT came out I was trying to create the best Midrange Shaman out there and even if I reached top16 couple of times with other lists at the last week of 17th season I was not happy about them also meta was shifting so the place didn't matter that much. That was also the time when Secret Pal wasn't that popular. Finally I created some list which works in meta and so far it's the best list I made. I was manage to get 65% winrate and pretty easly get to the legend from Rank5.

Sadly shaman is awfull to play and new expansion didn't change it that much. Mistcaller and Tuskar were the most overhyped cards which are rather bad and Totem Golem is not THAT amazing due to Shielded Minibot. I tried running 2x Tuskar and it took me one day to remove one because rng at turn3 is just awfull and it's been loosing more games than winning. Followed by second cut my winrate became higher, Feral Spirit seems to be better, obviously it makes me sad. Shaman is all about having good early so double Zombie Chow is a must. Followed by Golems and Creeper works really well with Flametongue and Defender of Argus. I guess that I don't need to explain 2x Rockbiter Weapon but 1 Earthshock may seem weird to a lot of you. I never liked 2x Shock and it's unplayable without 2x Azure. If Mad Scientist was 2/1 I could reconsider running both but with him being at 2hp and you having only one creeper it just feels really akward. At the beginning I had no heal but I came to the conclusion that you need one no matter. Rush hunter is just awfull without heal but with healing wave it's really fine match-up also It makes your winrate better against Control Warrior because the only way of you loosing to this deck is by getting Alexstrasha into Gromash. If you need you can heal your unit so in the end I find it better than Healbot. Even with double hex I find it hard to fight against Dr.Boom without BGH, most of the time you use hex to get some tempo or keep it against Ysera. I haven't seen that many Harrisons the last couple days so Doomhammer is amazing, works well with Rockbiter and Healing Wave. Draw might be the problem in Druid, will be in Warlock match-up for sure but I wouldn't change 2x Sludge to 2x Azure no matter what. I lost too many games loosing board control due to Shreder cutting my Drake that it's not worth. MTT works well with all taunts you have, with Neptulon and Valiant it's enough in 9/10 games (don't forget that you may get Murloc Knight from Neptulon)

Vialiant is definitely the black horse of new shaman cards and even if I knew that he will be good I didn't know he will be that strong. He won me tons of games on his own but I'm still not sure about having one or two in deck.

I feel like I don't need to explain more so let's talk about muligans/tactits

Druid:

You want to keep Totem Golem and Rockbiter against his 2/3 Wild Growth and Hex against any Inervate play. Shreder is good only with coin and I wouldn't keep Flametongue without any 1-3 drop. The same goes for Haunted Creeper, 1dmg is just not enough to do something to druid so don't keep it not having Flametongue. Keep obviously Feral and Zombie Chow. ManaTide with coin is not worth in this meta.

Playing against druid is pretty easy. Most of the games you should be able to build the board and just slowly snowball him with tempo from hexes. Don't be afraid to Hex Shreder if you are loosing to much tempo cutting with him. Druid doesn't have good aoe so it easly puts shaman as a better side of this match-up

Warrior:

Flametongue no matter if you got 1-3 drops, Shreder with coin, Rockbiter and Earth Shock against Acolyte, Hex.

If you are playing against patron you need to push as fast as possible. Without Thaurisan most of the time you got 8 turns to kill him, which sometimes is enough. Don't be scared to hex Acolyte if you can't deal with him. Control match-up is way easier. Honestly there is nearly no way to lose it. Just Heal you face after Alexstrasha and keep Hex for Ysera. As long you won't overextend brawl you should be okay.

Mage:

Keep all early units with Flametongue, Shreder with coin. Rockbiter and Hex (due to duplicate, echo type)

Against echo type mages there is just no way to lose if you hex his duplicate. Mech, Tempo is not that hard because you can easly play around Mirror Entity with Flametongue. Still it's all about early game, who won early will win whole game.

Priest:

Hex against Velen plays and to get tempo which you badly need. Earthshock and Rockbiter against Cleric. Flametongue plus Zombie is the best early you can get. Keep also Shreder and Totem Golem.

Playing against priest is all about getting control first few turns. Zombie plus Flametongue is the best you can get. Remember about Lightbomb and Cabal. If you are winning keep hex against Ysera.

Hunter:

Keep all 1-3 units, Earthshock and Rockbiter. Storm and Hex if it's Control. Healing Wave against Rush.

Hunter seems to be easy with Hexes against Lion and good early. Keeping storm against Unleash and good reading of his secrets should be enough to win that. The hardest thing most of the time is to play right around stuff when you are both really low on hp.

Rogue:

Totem Golem, Rockbiter, Zombie Chow/Creeper with Flametongue, Hex.

Playing against him you don't want to see any unit on his board due to oil so try to remove it with all you have. Totem cuts well with 3hp units and Hexing 4drop is right play. Try to bait blade flurry, if he doesn't have it you should risk spaming whole board.

Paladin:

Storm, 1-3units, Rockbiter and EarthShock

Try to keep your hex against Tyrion. Sometimes you can BGH his Mysterious Challenger, so remember that. Overall all comes downt to early. Try not to overextend his aoe and remember to cut 1/1 due to Quartermaster

Warlock:

Badly depends if it's Handlock/Zoo but Earthshock and hex is good against both, obviously 1-3 units if it's zoo plus storm and bgh against handlock.

Against handlock you just want to get board till you can kill him with combo. Neptulon helps you a lot. Don't forget that Dr.Boom may drop your enemy to the point that he can go 2x Molten so be carefull. I guess I don't need to explain zoo match-up. Hexing 3drop is okay.

A lot of people ask me about changes and honestly I wouldn't change any of these cards. Neptulon is just great and maybe Ysera/Rag can give you as huge value the same goes for Al'Akir -> Rag but I doubt that. The only thing I'm not sure is 2x Sludge or 2x Valiant Obviously Mistcaller is garbage and there is not a single deck with him which is better than decks with Neptulon.

Ufff, that took some time to write this with my english skills but if your eyes are not bleeding after what you saw, then I'm happy. Hopefully it will help someone and obviously I will answer all questions! I'm cool with criticism so if you feel like, then go ahead.

Sellout
