I saw so many videos that discarded Bolf Ramshield as just plain awful, maybe the worst legendary in the set. But I think as so many legendaries it can be great in the right scenario which in my opinion is Handlock.

Handlock is among the games' premium control decks and it has more or less one main weakness which is getting killed before it can outvalue the opponent with the hero power, discounted giants/drakes and Jaraxxus.

This is where Bolf Ramshield comes in. In this deck he basically performs as a 3rd Antique Healbot that costs 1 mana more but also provides 1 health more. But the synergy does not end here. Bolf interacts also great with the 4 taunt givers in the deck making him e.g. a 4/10 taunt minion with defender of argus that protects you from burn spells at the same time. Having Jaraxxus in play he can even increase your "life total" above the 15 health mark.

I added Refreshment Vendors to the deck to support the game plan even more.

This deck is still in the "planning phase" so it might need some refinement (playing Zombie Chow for Mortal Coil seems viable e.g.). I am playing the deck so far at rank 10 EU (2nd day of new season) and it performs really well (70-80% winrate over the course of 10 games). It is even possible to win matches against freeze mage by not using hero power and drawing into the healing cards which shows how tanky this handlock deck is.

Here are some examples from ranked play:

#1

In this scenario the druid had combo in hand. Bolf saved me from dying. The druid had to use combo to clear the giant and the drake which allowed me to play Jaraxxus and win the game in the long run.

#2

In this game against Patron Warrior Bolf is used to increase the maximum amount of health above 30 (33 in the example). The patron player did not draw into Emperor early and could not find enough damage to close the game.

#3

Here Bolf acts as a Super Taunt. If I played this game against a freeze mage or Malylock he would have prevented face (spell) damage at the same time (will change the picture once I encountered that).
