This is the only deck I've found that can make Varian Wrynn viable.

He just doesn't work with Grommash Hellscream and Alexstrasza.

The trick here is to use your standard board control cards early, ie Weapons, Armoursmith and Shield Slam to make it till late game.

Depending on what we draw we want to play Emperor Thaurissan before Mekgineer Thermaplugg and Varian Wrynn.

The dream is to play Varian with a weapon equipped and draw Thermaplugg. He is our new Grommash and finisher. If you can get him protected by a Sludge Belcher even better.

Ysera gives us low budget clearing cards.

Remember: You want to kill minions after Thermaplugg is played! So don't attack first.
