We all know how effective spam paladin has been in the meta. It has lead to some rather one sided matches in both tournaments and on ladder. So with TGT out I decided to revamp the deck to my favorite tribe. MURLOCS. Previously murlocs were the domain of warlocks due to the hero power pushing for so much. Then GVG gave murlocs to Shaman's who said hell no. So they were left with out a place in the meta. Then along came the Murloc Knight.
The strategy of the deck is pretty straight forward. Play the deck as if it was an aggro spamadin and build the board. At around turn 6 you will want to drop the Murloc Knight and hero power to get a solid board. If you have the Sword of Justice in play then your board just became sickening.
You will trade when you have to, but always apply as much face pressure as you can.
Mulligan
For all decks the mulligan is the same. Leper Gnome, Shielded Minibot, Muster for Battle, Abusive Sergeant, Divine Favor is also an acceptable hold.
What about a normal Paladin deck with the key Murlocs. Murloc Knight, Warleader, Ol Murk-Eye.

2-10, can't even do my quest on pally.
have you ever considered Coldlight Oracle? it combos well with Divine Favor because you draw the two cards that your opponent drew.
Incorrect. Because you with Divine Favor, draw until you have as many cards as your opponent. With, Coldlight Oracle you have also just drawn two cards therefore, there would be no difference in how fewer cards you have more than your opponent.
Coldlight Oracle does work well in replace of Divine Favor though. It also synergies with the Murlock tribe so it is a double plus.
FYI: the card button in the tool bar will tag your cards for a link. Although I'm not sure if the system understands British English :)
Yeah, i knew about that bit i was just thinking that you could play the cards before using divine favour since murlocs are very cheap.
Also, thanks for the tip, i'm new to hearthpwn so i don't really know how to do stuff here :)
I just tried this deck and I'm 5-5 at rank 17. I had much better win rate with regular aggro paladin or murloc warlock decks.
LOL
So much dragon paladins, control warriors, and rampdruids with a ton of early removal that I gave up on using this deck lol. This is rank 12~5. Still fun as hell though.
Swapped Puddlestompers for Knife Jugglers, works much better thanks to Murloc Knight.
Wonderful deck overall, very nostalgic. Reminds me of rushing them down with Warlock in vanilla.
Is this a good ladder climbing deck for the meta right now?
Nothing more to say. I was using this deck when it was showed up here, best deck ever!!! Rank 11 before the end of season with this one
You really want rank 10 to get the ogre magi chest;)
Would i be a good idea to interchange the Puddlestomper for Murloc Tidehunter?
In theory yes however in testing it turned out the stomper was able to reach better and or trade better when needed
how can i replace Sword of Justice ? i dont wanna use 400 dust for that :x but nice deck. thanks !
You could try fencing coach
I'd be tempted to switch it for another Muster for Battle if you don't have it.
Cog hammer is another option and gives you a defense option and gives you more reach and or tempo
Is this deck viable?
really depends on what is being run out there. Its not bad.
