Sorry, outdated guide!

Overview

So if you play Malygod Rogue it's not all about the combo and, you need to get the board control and after this you can use "The Combo" as a finisher. With "The Combo" I mean for example Malygos -> Preparation -> Shiv/Sinister Strike/Eviscerate.

One of the best things of WOG and the nerf nerf is the new meta. You won't see almost any Patron Warriors or really aggressive decks at all now what makes it easier to play Malygos Rogue than before.

Replacements

Cult Apothecary -> Refreshment Vendor or Earthen Ring Farseer. If you don't need healing at all, try another Shiv!

Edwin VanCleef -> Questing Adventurer or Violet Teacher. Both are obviously not the same as Edwin but could help with some similar effects.

Bloodmage Thalnos -> Loot Hoarder (for card draw) or Kobold Geomancer (for extra spell damage). A second Shiv is pretty nice too.

Xaril, Poisoned Mind -> Wouldn't revommend replacing but it's definitely possible with another Shiv.

Malygos, Tomb Pillager and Gadgetzan Auctioneer are essential in this deck and can't be replaced obviously!

Mulligans

You can always keep Preparation. BUT if you are not sure which kind of deck type you're facing you should try to get SI:7 Agent with The Coin, Fan of Knives against Paladins or Hunter, Backstab against almost any other class (strong with Bloodmage Thalnos) or Shiv to deal with some early drops. Sap/Eviscerate/Shadow Strike are also good against Druids and Shamans or any classes with big or hard to deal early/midgame drops.

NEVER keep Malygos or Emperor Thaurissan in your start hand!

ALWAYS keep Tomb Pillager!

Some tipps

If you want to prepare your finish off with Malygos but you can't play anything on the same turn (because you didn't get your Preperation yet or even your Emperor Thaurissan), try to find it with your Gadgetzan Auctioneer! Use your spells to draw cards and DO NOT play Gadgetzan Auctioneer on curve for tempo... it's just useless (except your oponnent can't deal with it or don't want to).
