Today is the release of The Grand Tournament and earlier I achieved Legend with my Dragon Mage Deck (Decklist & Guide: Here). After getting Legend, I decided to try my hand at a few new and old strategies. My most recent one being Token Druid. I've always loved the style a Token deck plays out and with a couple new tools given to Druid, I thought to give it a shot once again.
So far with this decklist I am 8-0 and have climbed from Legend #900s to #292.
Here is a brief breakdown of mulligans and playstyle:
Vs Aggro -
Opening Hands - 1x Innervate, 2x Living Roots, 2x Wrath, 2x Darnassus Aspirant, 1x Power of the Wild, 1x Shade of Naxxramas, (If Innervate and/or Darnassus Aspirant = Yes) 1x Keeper of the Grove 1x Violet Teache
For the most part you want to be the aggressor, but make profitable/valuable trades when given the option. You need to make sure you're keeping a balance between Face Damage and Trading because Mid to Late game you have finishers (Combo Pieces) that need to end it all. A rule of thumb being, let your bigger minions worry about the face or protect your little minions to keep going face.
Vs Midrange & Combo -
Opening Hands - 2x Innervate, 1x Wrath, 2x Darnassus Aspirant,1x Wrath, 1x Living Roots (if Hero Power doesn't kill them), 1x Power of the Wild, 2x Shade of Naxxramas, 1x Violet Teacher
Establish an early board presence and start in on the face damage grind. When an enemy minion poses a threat, kill it with efficiency and value (if possible). You need to make less trades in this matchup since you are a faster Midrange deck most of the time. Don't be afraid to Hero Power a minion if it needs one point of damage left to kill it if it means protecting one of your minions from dying for a turn. If there is no clear use for Innervate, save it for Violet Teacher value.
Vs Control -
Opening Hands - 2x Innervate, 2x Living Roots, 2x Darnassus Aspirant, 1x Wrath, 2x Power of the Wild, 2x Shade of Naxxramas, 1x Violet Teacher, (If Innervate = Yes) 1x Druid of the Claw or 1x Azure Drake
Establish an early board presence and start in on the race for Face Damage. Try to save your Keepers for Taunts or typical silence Targets (Nerubian Egg, Twilight Drake, Sylvanas, etc...). Make some trades here and there to protect other minions and prevent death, but for the most part you need to keep being aggressive and setup for combo turns to kill your opponent.

I have also just finished up a series of guides to help newer or budget players develop decks that can be purchased for under 2,000 Dust each (also Requires Naxxramas Unlocked) and compete with the current Meta enough to help you achieve your goal of High Ranks or evenLegend.

Here's to hoping this deck/guide is in some way beneficial to your Grinding Experience! The deck has performed extremely well for me and won games I thought were not possible to do so.

Thank you for checking out this deck and I hope it does well for you,

I can't seem to pull out any wins with this deck around Rank 13. Too many dragon priests and warriors I get tied up with.
I just swapped out the shade for druid of the saber to see if that helps
Reynad's Token Druid works better, though they both get wrecked by Dragon Priest and Warriors, unless you get godlike start.
you people must be getting god draws every game you play, i got to 14 no problem, but now im getting maybe 40% win rate if that. i just dont see the appeal to this deck
What would you put in to replace FoN? I noticed in your budget decks you said that you could remove FoN and 1 savage roar for a piloted and an Azure Drake. How would that work here? By the way nice deck just like all your others ^^
Quite a strong deck. Haven't played many games with it but it seems to range from being very consistent to having crazy tempo through Innervate and Darnassus Aspirant.
It's great that the deck is very simple. In most cases you only need to make decisions to trade or to go for face. It feels like the deck has a very low skill floor but a high skill ceiling, unlike decks like Patron Warrior where the skill floor is fairly high.
Nice deck but No wild growth = no card draws
You couldn't be more wrong, I'm currently 23-7 with this deck, no complaints at all here.
How's this deck working without Wild Growth? Is it missed?
It works absolutely fine without Wild Growth.
6/1 today (12 → 10 rang)
The only change that I made - added second Force of Nature.
Been playing this deck off and on this week and have to say big ups to you, I'm currently 72% winrate (18-7) with it. Well done sir.!
I am playing with a version of this deck, I have to say it is awesome. It has a great win rate :)
This deck lose to handlock, zoolock and tempo mage
Well they got better rng than me
Handlock: 2 mountain giants, can't remove easily
But I'm on 2:4
> Opening Hands - 1x Innervate, 2x Living Roots, 2x Wrath, 2x Darnassus Aspirant, 1x Power of the Wild, 1x Shade of Naxxramas, (If Innervate and/or Darnassus Aspirant = Yes) 1x Keeper of the Grove 1x Violet Teache
What do you mean?
Every of these cards is ok in any combinations?
And "2x" means that you can take this card twice to open hand?
Is that right?
...
How many chances of this deck beat control warrior?
Why only one "Force of nature"?
At the "Vs Midrange & Combo" section you pointed "Wrath" twice.
This deck made me dust my golden Blingtron 3000 to craft a Dr. Boom. I am now officially part of the problem.
I made a beast variation on your deck. I would love to hear your thoughts on it. It's essentially the same, save for three replacements.
you could also run Silver Hand Regent goes along with the token theme and i am doing pretty well with it around rank 15 (only because it is the new season)
Your deck is very solid. I got so many win streak. Thanks!
im using 2 harvest golems and 1 shade to improve early game if darnassus is killed. i removed dr. boom apparently i think he's too slow for this deck. overall powerful deck in tgt. :)
Violet teacher is like the card that makes the deck work. Take out imp master and Kezan. And why the hell are you running cenarius over AoL? You do realize that AoL is one of the best druid cards in the game, right?
Just tried this deck and won 3/3. Seems solid so far, also I really like the write up. Cheers!
