Today is the release of The Grand Tournament and earlier I achieved Legend with my Dragon Mage Deck (Decklist & Guide: Here). After getting Legend, I decided to try my hand at a few new and old strategies. My most recent one being Token Druid. I've always loved the style a Token deck plays out and with a couple new tools given to Druid, I thought to give it a shot once again.

So far with this decklist I am 8-0 and have climbed from Legend #900s to #292.

Here is a brief breakdown of mulligans and playstyle:

Vs Aggro -

Opening Hands - 1x Innervate, 2x Living Roots, 2x Wrath, 2x Darnassus Aspirant, 1x Power of the Wild, 1x Shade of Naxxramas, (If Innervate and/or Darnassus Aspirant = Yes) 1x Keeper of the Grove 1x Violet Teache

For the most part you want to be the aggressor, but make profitable/valuable trades when given the option. You need to make sure you're keeping a balance between Face Damage and Trading because Mid to Late game you have finishers (Combo Pieces) that need to end it all. A rule of thumb being, let your bigger minions worry about the face or protect your little minions to keep going face.

Vs Midrange & Combo -

Opening Hands - 2x Innervate, 1x Wrath, 2x Darnassus Aspirant,1x Wrath, 1x Living Roots (if Hero Power doesn't kill them), 1x Power of the Wild, 2x Shade of Naxxramas, 1x Violet Teacher

Establish an early board presence and start in on the face damage grind. When an enemy minion poses a threat, kill it with efficiency and value (if possible). You need to make less trades in this matchup since you are a faster Midrange deck most of the time. Don't be afraid to Hero Power a minion if it needs one point of damage left to kill it if it means protecting one of your minions from dying for a turn. If there is no clear use for Innervate, save it for Violet Teacher value.

Vs Control -

Opening Hands - 2x Innervate, 2x Living Roots, 2x Darnassus Aspirant, 1x Wrath, 2x Power of the Wild, 2x Shade of Naxxramas, 1x Violet Teacher, (If Innervate = Yes) 1x Druid of the Claw or 1x Azure Drake

Establish an early board presence and start in on the race for Face Damage. Try to save your Keepers for Taunts or typical silence Targets (Nerubian Egg, Twilight Drake, Sylvanas, etc...). Make some trades here and there to protect other minions and prevent death, but for the most part you need to keep being aggressive and setup for combo turns to kill your opponent.

I have also just finished up a series of guides to help newer or budget players develop decks that can be purchased for under 2,000 Dust each (also Requires Naxxramas Unlocked) and compete with the current Meta enough to help you achieve your goal of High Ranks or evenLegend.

Here's to hoping this deck/guide is in some way beneficial to your Grinding Experience! The deck has performed extremely well for me and won games I thought were not possible to do so.
