A quick video of Dragon Priest in full stride
It's OP use it. twitch.tv/reynad27
Just for clarification Chillmaw is for Patron Warrior, Voljin is mainly used for high health late game drops such as Ysera and then smiting the minion. Rend is used for the manyyyy legendaries that have sprouted because of TGT
-*LOOK HERE IMPORTANT STUFF* EDIT----- Reynad has added in 2 shrinkmiesters, 2 cabal shadow priests, a second shadow word death, 2 shadow madness and has taken out 2 smite, 2 velen's chosen, ysera, rend and vol'jin. He wanted the deck to have a better curve and early game so the deck doesn't lose all control because of enemy early drops
*LOOK MORE IMPORTANT STUFF* EDIT--- I know the changes made the deck worse but reynad was just trying stuff out. You can revert to the old deck because it had a higher win percentage just wanted to put his edits in the deck so its up to date ~ Loki (PS i personally think the original deck is better)
Agreed. Its good but too boring to play.
Why not another Shadow Word Death or even two Shadow Word Pain? Dark Cultist, Dragonkin Sorcerer and one Velen's Chosen seem like cards that might be worth replacing those with.
I find myself having very few dragons in my hand and the synergies are not working...
I went from rank 11 to 6 in a day with this deck. Seems like it works!
Ive found chrom to be more reliable turn 8 play than chill at any point. This may change once patron comes back, but for now, I see no need for chill. I also run only 1 cabal and 2 velens, which allows me for a turn 5 velen/heal and 6 tempo play. Atm, im 67% win rate.
What's a good replacement for 1 Cabal Shadow Priest and 1 Twilight Guardian? I have only one of each. I was thinknig Confessor Paletress and Nefarian. Though I have 600 dust, so I can craft one of them if that's your advice. So, what should I do? Replace them both, or craft one of the cards? Thanks a lot!
I only had one Twilight Guardian and decided to craft the other one. I am not running a single Cabal Shadow Priest and the deck is huge success. Nefarian, Ysera as big drops or maybe another Dragonkin Sorcerer could be a replacement for those cards.
just think about what is best. dont let others tell you what to do lol
I think Sylvanas would be a good replacement for Cabal Shadow Priest. That's been working OK for me.
I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to Hearthstone. I mean I have a solid memorization of most of the cards, I can expect what my opponent will play. But when it comes to metas and what replacement is suited best for a certain type of deck, I really don't know. What's wrong with asking others for advice? Not that I would just blindly trust what anyone says, but I'd take it into consideration.
In this case, I don't know if it's worth replacing both cards, or crafting one and replacing the other with something else. All four of them seem like good cards in this deck, I don't know what would be the best choice for this meta.
That's a good deck, but I don't think we can call it OP... I've seen many on the ladder and I almost always got them, and I was always playing Handlock, Zoolock, Hybrid hunter and Ramp Druid. If I'm not mistaken, I've only lost once, when I was using the Hybrid hunter.
Not OP. But good lord, this deck is everywhere right now.
I'm currently playing a mid-range-ish Shaman and have been trashing Dragon Priest pretty easily. They usually blow their wad fast, taking me to 15-20 life but then with no cards left I smash down with my big boys. GG Well played.
The key against this deck is Taunt Taunt Taunt and Trade. Then when their cards run out, Beat Down.
I will note, however, that it's funny to see all the players running *this* version of the deck which is far weaker than the original version.
Agreed. Another thing about this deck is that it is easly killed by silence, so hunters can use early game removal at the beggining and when the thing get serious, they just use the Ironbeak Owl and basically win.
They really don't have a win condition. It's kinda like Zoo in a weird way, prioritizing board control, hitting face when applicable. These recent changes allow for it to be a bit more reactive and come back from certain situations but they have no real power and if they lose board they can't really comeback.
What I can change if I don't have Chillmaw?
I prefer Ysera! :)
I manage to run both and it works very well, since Chillmaw is a cheaper drop with 7 mana.
this deck is great, smashing left and right
There are only 2 activators for those (2x power word: shield). A consistent 3-5 is way better.
