With the new expansion, there has been a huge influx of Shaman players. As any good deck builder should, I have chosen a deck to counter this sudden meta.

Since the release of TGT, I am 16-3 against Shaman with this deck. Not only that, it is insanely good against many of the other decks in the meta.

Full deck write up coming soon, for now I will be trying to climb ladder as quickly as possible while the meta is like this.

Started at Rank 16, pushed all the way to Rank 5 with the huge amount of win streaks.

UPDATE: As of 1:00 AM the night of release, I am taking a break at Rank 2 and 1 star. This deck has far exceeded my expectations, and will continue to update it tomorrow!

Card explanations

Early Game

Shielded Minibot - An absolutely fantastic 2 drop that trades and then some against aggressive decks.

Muster for Battle - Combos with Quartermaster, overwhelms the board, refill the board after using Equality Combo

Midgame

We can easily control the board while we wait for our huge drops and tempo swings.

Aldor Peacekeeper is an amazing card that ruins any plans our opponent may have to have a fun game.

Acidic Swamp Ooze is a great way to stop Warriors from triggering their weapon deathrattles or GET IN HERE combos.

Sludge Belcher is the best taunt in the game and has time and time again shown he deserves a spot in this deck.

Justicar Trueheart - Try to drop her early in the mid game so we can get the best possible value from the new hero power.

If things go wrong...

We have everything we need to comeback from a game that is going badly

Tuskarr Jouster and Lay on Hands keep our health pools topped off while our enemy struggles to keep anything on the board.

Enter the Coliseum - Our version of Brawl, however it is a little more finicky. Make sure to use it when we can kill the minion that is left over. This being said, I absolutely love this card.

Our midgame cards such as Justicar Trueheart and Nexus-Champion Saraad are also very helpful to snowball us in the lategame.

Late Game

All I need to say is that we have an amazing late game. As long as we control the mid game and maintain our tempo, we are almost always guaranteed a win against most classes in the current meta.

Matchup Explanations:

Good Matchups:  Shaman, Druid, Priest, Warlock, and Hunter are all solid matchups. Try to mulligan for our early drops. We can keep a midgame drop if we have the coin. The great thing about this deck is that the mulligans are fairly straightforward.

Tough Matchups: While this deck can keep out-attrition control warriors, it can be a bit of a toss up with GET IN HERE Warriors. If we end up drawing none of our threats, they can trigger their wombo combo despite our health being at 30.
