Tomisnthere's Control Dragon Priest [TGT] - twitch.tv/tomisnthere
Since BRM, I've had an obsession for building dragon decks. It also happens to be the case that priest is my favourite class. So here is my dragon priest. Enjoy.
All comments and likes are greatly appreciated! :D
I will be streaming with this deck for the next few weeks!

I will happily answer any questions or test out suggestions on stream.

Q & A
Why no aucheni + circle? - There is no space for both dragons and this wombo combo in the same deck.
Why no shrink + cabal? - Same reason as above.
Why double death? - Will be seeing slower decks as people experiment with inspire cards. Slower decks = higher mana cost (in most cases) = more reason for death.
Why no Dr.Boom? - Its not needed + a single BGH target isn't worth it.
Pyro? - Great against aggro decks. Never play it by itself. Its not here for the body but for its ability to combo with pws and velens (and coin).
Card Testing
Paletress is too slow? - Yeah i'm going to test it. If it is I will find a suitable replacement. [UPDATE: after testing paletress, I can conclude that it is awesome! Not too slow, a very much underrated card!]
Currently testing Voljin - will report back. [UPDATE: Got more value from Voljin than Harrison. Deck has been updated.]
More info coming soon.
With the Patron deck undergo a change in near future, Is there any prediction on the change of the meta and card choice in this deck? I just pull a Chillmaw and decided to make a dragon priest.
About board wipe, with Patron gone next week, can Wild pyromancer subbed with Explosive Sheep? Cheaper casting cost, bigger effect damage, and can combo with SWP. I also think Unstable ghoul for the same reason and synergize nicely with Explosive Sheep. I think the the meta will shifted to more early rush meta after the change of patron and that sheep and ghoul can stop so many minions the secret Paladin have. Those card also usable while waiting turn 5 for Nova, turn 6 for bombs, and turn 7 for Chillmaw. I mean, some druid already testing Fel Reaver and abandon the whole concept of value out of the window.
And one more thing: 6 dragons are not a bit few to let play all those cards they need a dragon in hand?
i still play with 2x Azure Drake because having whelp and agent in hand first turns without dragon synergy is really frustrating...
with 2x novas and 1x bomb do really need 2x pyros for another mass removal?
Mind control in late game lets you win too many games! Plastress is nice IMO, maybe justicar could be drop even if in late game 4 heals each turn is really good.
None azure drake in this deck?
It needs some drawing ad mid/late game.
Mind control= must!!!
-1 Mind Control +1 Deathwing. Needs an extra dragon and a finisher...
Amazing and fun deck! I was sceptical on the addition og MC in this deck, but it has won me so many games. TY :)
going 4-1 in legend rank, pretty good deck :D
I don't have Ysera, and replaced it for Chromaggus, is it ok? Also, I'm using Nefarion, since it's a wonderful dragon card. What you think about -1 Toughtsteal and +1 Twilight Whelp? These little drakes are simply perfect for many early game combos. :)
Also, I don't have Vol'jin and I'm using Sylvannas in its place.
What do you think about changing Thoughtsteal or Dark Cultist on Eydis? She has great synergy with Power Word: Shield and Velen's Chosen.
6-0 (Rank 7)
Have you considered Kel'Thuzad? He can have really great synergy with Confessor Paletress
Is this more control?
Or more "dragon"?
I will test this out, i like dragon priest power, but miss a bit the classic control spells, and to be honest... i really love Justicar in control decks, and want to try the confessor power!
Normally a lurker but I wanted to thank you for creating this creative deck. Will definitely give it a whirl! Love dragons and priest!
I am a little skeptical of the Justicar Trueheart in this deck. I haven't done any playtesting with him, so know that all that follows is just me spitballing, but in a deck with only one inspire minion, I would think that adding some big beater (Toshley) or tech card (The Black Knight comes to mind with people running the new Twilight Guardian) seems like it could very well be better than trueheart in a priest deck.
I would consider swapping out a Shadow Word: Death for a Lightbomb, simply because this is more of a control deck. Note that I say consider. Death is superior in a tempo style deck because it will afford you the ability to play a 5-7 drop the same turn as you use Death. Lightbomb, however, is more likely to clear away your opponents entire board, and while this only lets you play a 1-4 drop at a later stage of the game, in terms of value and board control it is often superior to Death. That all said, this is not your typical priest deck, as many of the deck's late game minions: trueheart, chillmaw, corruptor, sylvannas, harrison, and the confessor are all susceptible to the bomb, which is not only atypical of priest decks, but significantly decreases Lightbomb's value.
I would also consider teching a second Shadow Word: Pain at least for the early stages of the meta. Totem Shaman gets really beat up by this card, and so does the new Twilight Guardian. Combine this with the fact that pain is already a good anti aggro card, and can hit belchers, and you have a very solid card for controlling all of the wonky shenanigans that come out early in any new expansion. I might consider dropping Thoughtsteal, but the meta is nowhere close to settling, and shifts constantly, so it may indeed be better to drop something like a Wyrmrest Agent or Wild Pyromancer, at least until all of the Totem Golems go away.
I would also consider dropping one pyromancer for a Gilblin Stalker so as to have a guaranteed target for Velen's Chosen, which is relevant because it becomes a very convenient answer to totem golem and the like in the early game. That or you could remove both Wyrmrest Agents. I have to do some testing to figure out which of the two tends to be the stronger anti aggro card, but this deck seems like it could really use a gilblin, and I don't think that having three singleton two drops is the best idea in the world for deck consistency. Given that this deck only runs a grand total of five dragons though, I am inclined to believe that Wyrmrest Agent is going to be the weaker of the two in this deck.
I'm thinking I'll try this... have you considered swapping out the Velen's Chosen for Fencing Choach though? I can't imagine running Paletress without them.
