Intro
GUIDE IN PROGRESS. RECOMMENDATIONS WILL BE IN CONSIDERATION. Theorycraft. This deck's purpose is do have as much silver hand recruits as possible. Overwhelm your opponent with control over the board with your silver hand recruits
Cards
Key Cards
Competitive Spirit, Sword of Justice, Muster for Battle, Warhorse Trainer, Garrison Commander, Silver Hand Regent, Maiden of the Lake,Quartermaster,Justicar Trueheart
^All of these cards listed above help with your combo^
Competitive Spirit: Use this to buff your Silver hand Recruits. The more the merrier.
Sword of Justice: Same as Competitive Spirit, use it to buff your Silver Hand Recruits.
Muster for Battle: Muster for Battle is a great card in this deck. Use it to summon more Silver Hand Recruits instead of using your hero power. A great way to get Silver Hand Recruits out on the battlefield.
Warhorse Trainer: A great card to buff up your Silver Hand Recruits.
Garrison Commander: Combined with Maiden of the Lake and Justicar Trueheart's upgraded hero power, it is a great way to put more Silver Hand Recruits onto the battlefield.
Silver Hand Regent: A great card to summon more Silver Hand Recruits. Using its inspire ability will summon 2 for the price of 1.
Quartermaster: If your board is full of Silver Hand Recruits, they will gain a significant buff. Having a board full of 3/3's is terrifying enough.
Maiden of the Lake: This card will make your hero power cheaper. Use this to full effect when combined with Garrison Commander to summon 2 Silver Hand Recruits. When used with Justicar Trueheart, you can summon 4 Silver Hand Recruits for 2 mana.
Justicar Trueheart: Why wouldn't you be running this in this deck? The upgraded hero power gives you 2 Silver Hand Recruits for 2 Mana. Its a must for this deck.
The Other Cards
Avenge: Face it, your Silver Hand Recruits will die. Why not relive their legacy by giving another minion +3/+2?
Argent Lance: A good weapon. If you win the joust, it will be a cheap 2 mana 2/3 weapon
Knife Juggler: A great card because you will be summoning a lot of Silver Hand Recruits/Minions
Shielded Minibot: A great card to run in every Paladin deck. A 2/2 for 2 mana with divine will grant insane value for clearing some of you opponents early game minions.
Equality: Most of your minions will already be at 1 hp. Equality will not affect most of your minions. Combined with Consecration will make a great board clear.
Truesilver Champion: A great 4/2 weapon that heals 2 hp to your hero. This weapon can help clear a minion since it's 4 damage.
Blessing of Kings: Giving a minion +4/+4 is cool. Giving it to one of your minions will make it harder for your opponent to clear.
Consecration: An all around board clear for Paladin.
Solemn Vigil: Like I said, most of your minions are going to die. Using a 0, 1, or 2 mana Solemn Vigil to draw cards is great.
Tirion Fordring: A great card to play just in case things get sticky towards the end game.
Dr. Boom: Which deck doesn't run Dr.Boom? Dr.Boom is a great card. Period.
Card Swaps
Replace 1x Solemn Vigil and 1x Consecration to add 2x Knife Juggler or 2x Mukla's Champion
What are your thoughts on Keeper of Uldaman?
You can make great early trades with her.
Any thoughts on possible replacements for Dr. Balanced and Tirion? Justicar was the only legend i got from 52 packs lol
I'm building and testing a similar deck. Still don't have any legendaries you mentioned, but it works anyway. I added Hogger and [card]Bolvar Fordragon[/card] (yeah, I suck at choosing legends to craft!) Hogger works nice sometimes, but Bolvar turned out to be a piece of crap. Silenced or killed 90% of the times. I'd swap it for [card]Tirion Fordring[/card] in a heartbeat.
I haven't given up on Avenge yet, since it works. So does [card]Knife Juggler[/card]. I also added two Argent Squires to have something to play at the early game. Equality is out because at the late stage you don't have a lot of 1/1s really — everyone is buffed most of the times, and you'll probably have some fatties like Maiden of the Lake on the board. [card]Argent Lance[/card] is also out and I have doubts about [card]Truesilver Champion[/card]
How about Volcanic Drake?
I feel Competitive Spirit is too slow and a bad topdeck, most people aggressively try to remove your stuff. I found myself prefering to do an early Sword of Justice instead and found Spirit too hard to weave in and have it hit more than 2. Ive replaced them with an extra Sword and Bolvar Fordragon and will play 20 or so gaames to test that out. Notable other choices would be Defender or Argus or Aldor Peacekeeper.
Had no luck opening at least one Garrison Commander have anyone tried using Fencing Coach?
Replacement for Justicar Trueheart
Nothing will serve the same purpose. It's one of a kind. However some powerful 6 drop like Sylvanas is always a safe bet.
Oh wow, I've used a deck with similar synergies in arena before, but I didn't expect it to do well in contructed.
There is a lot going on in this deck, but it has a really nice feel to it. The moderate/midrange aggro style is complimented well by the inspire mechanics, which often stop you from running out of steam and can allow you to regain tempo in the late game.
I dont think Maiden of the Lake is a good card for this deck, despite the obvious synergy with the inspire effects. Its statline isn't the best, and it usually doesn't live long enough to get much value out of it. If you still want the inspire synergy with the slots, you could consider running 1x Fencing Coach later, and maybe a Murloc Knight for immediate setup.
EDIT: Managed to get competitive spirit into muster into quarter master into mukla's champion. There's so many different combos in this deck, I love it.
Sounds very promising! I also found a bit hard to play Maiden of the Lake right, and combining it with [card]Garrison Commander[/card] is even harder. Thanks for this tip, I'll try both Fencing Coach and Murloc Knight.
Mukla's Champion could be nice in this deck
Is there any replace to the [card]Tirion Fordring[/card]?
Definitely missing a trick not having Knife Juggler when you are generating so many bodies a turn. I have been experimenting with a similar deck but struggle with board clears so will try and include Equality. Here is my take on a Recruit deck.
I must disagree. Played this kind of deck ~50 games now and Justicar will win you games. It's true that she will most likely be killed immedietly, but the value comes afterwards. A turn 7 Mukla's Champion + 2 Recruit or Quartermaster + 2 recruit makes a difference. You can zerg the board in 2 turns, making those two combos lethal.
faced a similar deck today and it does extremely well to gain and keep board control!
Argent Lance is trash card..
yeah, i was thinking maybe that and avenge should be replaced with dubs knife juggler.
just tried it in ranked, works like wonder.
opponents who ignore those dude always get punished hard
I like the theory, wouldn't stand up in ranked, but it would definitely be a fun deck to play.
What a trash deck. You don't have enough 2 drops to actually support such a slow deck.
Besides, Argent Lance is not value, even if you win the Joust. You are running 3 turn 3 weapons. Oh jeah, let's put a turn 2 weapon in the deck. I think you should really reconsider this deck.
