Hello Everybody !
i though about this deck list cuz' Malygos druid had quit a bit of success in the past and i am here to push this well known combo with Malygos to the next level
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that being said let's take a look at the deck
The goal with this deck is to get to turn 10 and pull an insane combo to just OTK your opponent
-This Combo works by abusing the mana reduction of Aviana and the ability of druids to get aditional mana by using Innervates.
Once you have Aviana innervate out a Malygos, then copy it using double Faceless Manipulators to accumulate a total of 15 spell dammage on your board, Moonfire your opponent's face twice to deal a total of 32 dammage (16 per Moonfire)
Gameplay
Spend the first few turns trying to keep the board as clear as possible. Try not to use your second Innervate to keep it for the AvianaMalygos shenanigans, Remember that when the combo works as it should, your opponent's life total will be irrelevent unless you are facing a warrior with tons of armor because the combo deals 32 dammage right away
In the mid-game you keep playing like a normal druid that aims for early board control and win in the late game by playing huge minions or a ForceRoar combo
Card choises :
Azure Drakes are great to powerup your spells and keep the board clear but more importantly to help you cycle through your deck and fetch for your combo
Emperor Thaurissan is here to act as a sudo Innervate cuz' we got the confirmation that the mana reduction of Emperor Thaurissan will go over the 1 mana and you'll be able to get out your minions for 0, Faceless Manipulators or Malygos for instance or to get your combo sooner if you do have all the combo pieces in your hand
(Second Edit : sorry i misunderstood the relation between Emperor Thaurissan and Aviana so empror is here just to reduce the cost of Living Roots or Aviana to help you get the combo sooner sorry for the mistake thanks to the community for the feedback)
Alexstrasza is here in case you're missing one Moonfire or one Faceless Manipulator you can use Alexstrasza instead cuz' she will cost only 1 mana
Living Roots is here to give the deck more consistency since it hits the face if you stack cards like Moonfire it creates a redundancy that makes the deck more consistant just like running a Crackle and a Lava Burst in the same Malygos shaman
i also put in good support cards like Ancient of Lore and to have board presence and trading tools
the rest of the deck is pretty standerd it helps you keeping the board clear and draw to get your combo
Possible replacements:
- if you are suffering from card draw consider adding a Gadgetzan Auctioneer
- if you don't own Bloodmage Thalnos replace it with a Loot Hoarder cuz' card draw is more important than spell dammage in the early game
- Obviously Aviana and Malygos are irreplacable this combo won't work without them.
Conclusion:
Tell me what do you think about this deck list in the comment section below i'll be keeping track of that also if you have any ideas of how to improve this list make sure to let me know
on a side note i'd like to point to the fact that this is a rough theorycraft that needs to be improved if you think it's bad i'll appreciate if you constructively criticize and not just scream that this is trash

Yeah but when TGT comes out, it would only make sense for the meta to slow down. Of course you'll find an aggro deck occasionally. But one of the reasons I really like TGT is that it really pushing control/midranged decks.
115 votes for a theory deck. Seriously?
It's the kitten.
Nahh ... just this "community"
I like the idea of this deck, but i think it needs more draw and/or more life gain.
the issue is that i can't find room for more without cutting important cards
intresting idea thanks for the feedback
7 card combo. Totally reliable right? Right? Yea no. Patron is close to a 7 card combo, but it isn't an EXACT 7 cards, it's a few plus activators (of which there is like 4 types). Won't happen because there isn't enough sustain in this deck to get there.
The viability of something like this really depends on the meta. I anticipate that all of the experimentation with the slow cards of TGT is going to "inspire" a lot of aggro. We are likely to see a big uptick in Zoo, DemonZoo, FaceHunter, and Paladin Aggro. Paladin Aggro may even get a slight buff from the expansion. So, a deck like this has to be able to outlast aggro while preparing to OTK the control decks. To that end you have the Roots, the Zombie Chow, the Swipe, but you don't have any strong 4-drops here. Let's imagine a good curve: we're looking for turn 1 roots, turn 2 wild growth, turn 3 hero power, turn 4 sludge belcher. We're probably around 20 or less health by then, and the enemy likely has a hefty board... I don't think the deck can hold its own.
Another cool never-gonna-happen combo.
I can see the concept but I don't see how this deck will survive to pull it off by turn 9 / 10.
Why go to this extend when you got the most broken combo in the game with 2 cards at 9 mana? 14 dmg? want more? well 22 damage with an additional savage roar.
its totally unpractical 7 specific cards in your hand it's like playing with 23 cards until you do the combo compared to it FON and SR are useful even when not comboed.
I guess the 0tk will go off 1 in 30 games?
because i don't like the idea of a class being stuck in the same deck design for ever i wanna try new thing i wanna be creative you want to stop your creativity you do what you want mate
This deck screams Gimmick lol
scream fun also but mostly gimmick :p
Great concept but doesn't seem to have enough card draw and very hard to see this live til turn 9 with the exact 7 cards in hand especially against aggro.
Looks like any typical "If I draw my 1 wrath, 1 swipe,2 belchers, 2 healbots, then topdeck Alextrasza, I win no matter what other cards I'm playing".
it might look like that the first time you see it but then the patrons will "get in here" and you'll be rekt
Except patron is entirely cards that cause everyone to get in here or draw cards that cause everyone to get in here.
Hi there,
I really like the idea of this deck and OTK archetype is really fun to play imo (even though it can be really frustrating to play against ^^). I'm just not entirely sure on how reliable this deck is. Let me explain :
If you take for instance the freeze Mage OTK. One version of it, that I play alot, allows you to do 30 dmg in one turn with 8 cards : Sorcerer's Apprentice x2, Ancient Mage, Fireball, Frostbolt x2 and Ice Lance x2. This is 30 dmg with 8 cards for 10 mana whereas your deck presents 32 dmg with 7 cards for 10 mana, so it should be more interesting.
The thing I'm concerned with when I talk about reliability is that Mage has tools to temporize aggression and make the game last that Druid does not. For instance, you have Ice Block, Frost Nova, Blizzard or even Ice Barrier. Secondly, Mage offers more ways to draw and cycle through Arcane Intellect or even Mad Scientist since it pulls your secrets from your deck.
I'm not entirely how you can hold against aggressive decks with this one even with the different heals that are present. You sadly have no way to prevent or defend yourself against a cheaper/"earlier" combo like Oil Rogue, or Patron. And finally, I think it is a bit too complicated to guarantee you will draw your combo, granted that you get to turn 10. I'm actually not sold on the two Wild Growth (which is really weird to say of a Druid deck xD) and I wonder if something like Coldlight Oracle would not be more interesting/appropriate.
In any case, I really like the deck idea and, as you say, this is theorycraft and is not supposed to be perfect or flawless. I also don't play Druid that often so maybe I'm completely wrong and my comment is useless. Finally, this is my personal opinion, I do not expect everyone to agree and I do not pretend to be right over any other argument, I just like the deck and wanted to ofeer my point of view.
Great job anyways and congrats on making front page ;)
