Welcome to Anub'Arak Control Rogue.

This Guide was created before Old Gods. Deck is updated but guide is not it.

------------- New Cards -----------

  • Cutpurse is a undervalued card. He is a 2/2 by 2 mana, it's not strong but it's fine i think. We keep to safe with Backstab, Deadly Poison and Agent while he go face. Obviously, we will not go forever to the face because positive trade always is nice. So, you can active combos in the same turn like SI:7 Agent in T3 with his coin.
  • Burgle is probably my TGT's favorite card. Random, yes, but potentially is insane. So, Preparation into Burgle, we draw two card free mana and win tempo. In empty turns is great.

Example perfect T3:

  • Anub'arak is a pretty cool idea turned in a mediocre card. He is a infinite card (if he dont get silence/polymorph) like Malorne or Dreadsteed but 8/4 by 9 mana is bad and return your hand is even worse because you have to pay again 8/4 by 9 mana. We need cards to get maximum efficiency:
  1. Cutpurse and Emperor can reduce Anub'Arak cost.
  2. Anub'Arak + Conceal, we give stealth to hold one more turn.

I run Preparation over Conceal, i tried to play Conceal but is very situational (or hard to play).

   3. We play Kel'Thuzad, we trade with Anub'Arak. KT add Anub'Arak, we win another Anub'Arak in board and in our own hand.

----------- Tech Cards -----------

  • One Preparation because we have not many spells for combo. Preparation is useful with Burgle, Fan of Knives or Sprint.
  • One Blade Flurry because our Hero Power (in this deck) is a bit useless. We have to know when to pull the Blade Flurry to get the most value. I think that you can run second Blade Flurry if you run Tinker's Sharpsword Oil too.
  • One Sprint because drawcard is important for Rogue and this spell is awesome with Preparation.
  • Sylvanas Windrunner is a great card in all decks. She lets you have a big presence at the board and control it. If you dont have Sylvanas, you can run Master Jouster, Just get a great value by 6 mana. Another great card is Grand Crusader, it's like Burgle but only get Paladin's card.

  1. Always Keep: Deadly Posion, Cutpurse, Agent and Burgle.
  2. Sometimes Keep: Backstab, Sap and Shredder.

  •  Aggro Match Up
  1. Always Keep: Backstab, Deadly Poison, Blade Flurry, Fan of Knives and Agent.
  2. Sometimes Keep: Sap.
  • Coin
  1. With coin search: Burgle, Agent, Shredder and Shado-Pan.
  2. Without coin search: Deadly Poison, Cutpurse and Burgle.
