This deck is basically a radical version of a midrange combo/control pala, that I tried, to spice things up.
Cards that stand out:
Ancient Watcher
This card can potentially give you a very good advantage if drawn with Wailing Soul in the turns after. Opponents seem to ignore this minion in the earlier stages. Also the synergy with Defender of Argus makes it so that it never becomes a dead card.
Wailing Soul
This card has multiple functions. One is to funktion as an activator for the Ancient Watcher. Another is to work as a heal/resetter after using equality, which is a very powerful combo that can flip a board. Thirdly it is powerful against other paladins´effects, Freeze Mages and so on
[card]Lil' Exorcist[/card]
I find this card to be a very effective 3 drop with the popularity of early Deathrattle minions often played: Webspinner, Zombie Chow, Leper Gnome, Haunted Creeper and Mad Scientist. In addition to Sludge Belcher and Piloted Shredder and the Boom Bots.
Muster for Battle
This card is good for the obvious reason in the early game, but having your Silverhand Recruits on the board when using equality really helps you trade with these instead of your bigger minions. This way if you are holding your Wailing Soul you can reset their original health and avoid the penalty of the spell.
Rest of the cards ...
The rest of the cards explains themselves, Shielded Minibot is ofc very good early on, Aldor Peacekeeper for big guys and better value trades, Sludge Belcher for aggro decks,
But wont the Wailing Soul suck with Sludge Belcher, Lil Excorsist and Sylvanas?
In my experience this has not been an issue.
Mulligan:
Ancient Watcher
Shielded Minibot
Lil' Exorcist
Wailing Soul
Let me know how it works out for you :)
OK, am I just the unluckiest guy in the world for having faced 50% priests on ladder (mid teens) so far this season or has anyone else noticed an increase of their cancer?
Anyone have tips vs. them? I'm 75% vs. everyone else and 10% vs. dirty-ass priests using this deck. I'd rather play face-huntard or patron than these scum who have no better ideas than stealing your cards and beating you with them.
Switched theDivine Favor for a second Zombie Chow to maximize the early drop count vs aggro.
Love the deck ! Thank you for sharing !
I concur with the switching out of DF, have NEVER gotten value out of it in this deck.
Didn't want to believe it.
Told myself, "This is another one of those 'fun' decks on Hearthstone that never actually wins games."
Opened Hearthstone.
Made deck.
Looked at quests, "Win 5 games with Priest or Pally, Win 5 games with Warrior or Pally."
Played deck.
Won 5 straight games in a row for 120 coins.
Got under covers.
Jerked off.
Fell asleep.
10/10 would rip deck off again.
Glad to hear you had some fun, in more than one way..
I love the addition of Coghammer, but not at the expense of Truesilver Champion (i.e. the best weapon in the game). I’m going to try -1 GOK instead.
I really wanted for this deck to work, but sadly that was not the case.
This idea is wonderful. This deck creates variable combos. Equality - Wailing Soul combo is nice, Ancient Watcher - Wailing Soul is also nice. I'm just thinking about Argent Commander or Toshley instead of two Guardian of Kings . In my opinion, Spare Part might work efficiently in this deck.
I don't have Harrison Jones Any cards I can put in instead of that (Saving up dust for the pirate legendary... Want to make a pirate deck)
Well it depends if you lack card draw or want to deal with your opponents weapon :) There are no direct replacement for him in my opinion.
Dont waste your dust on Captain Greenskin. I have tried every varaint of the Pirate race in all sorts of decks and it just doesn't work. I just got my second copy of him from packs and will be dusting this one also.
But There going to be new pirates in TGT! I must get the parrot at least
Im excited to see what pirates will come aswell. But if I were you I would craft Harrison or another classic usefull instead as you are not gonna be winning classic packs from Arena and such.
If youre doing it to get an over-priced 1/1 i guess thats your call. Ive already gotten the parrot and it doesn't bring enough value IMO. Ive tried full pirate decks and everything between. And from the look of the pirates that have been revealed, its not looking overly promising.
Looks interesting! One question though: why only 1 owl? x2 seems like an auto-include?
EDIT: First game I played with it got matched up vs. a freeze mage - PWNED :D
Sure an ekstra owl could be useful, but so are the other cards that you would replace.
Well, I (FTP player) only have 1 Argus, so that's the slot that I put Owl in. So far, no complaints, there's ALWAYS a good target for Owl.
With your deck I'm undefeated against all classes so far except priest, I'm winless against them. God I HATE priests - and there seems to be more of them this season for some reason. Any tips on gameplay against them? Do you mulligan any differently against them than in your above guide? Thanks.
What about Switching divine favor for bgh and 1 lil ex for coghammer?
I would advice against switching out Divine Favor if you feel you want to include Big Game Hunter, I would probably swap it with one of the Aldor Peacekeeper
Dude, I really like the look of this deck! Can't wait to get home and try it out :)
I have just one question though: I don't own Harry J. (sadly); would Acidic Swamp Ooze be ok as a replacement? I assume his main function is to deny weapon charges rather than card draw. If I'm mistaken, then I might swap Boom for Chromaggus in order to make up for it (and turn the opponent's BGH into a dead draw to boot).
