Description coming as soon as I can, upvotes motivate! xD.
Rank 4 right now, I am curious about trying other decks, right now the meta looks like 40% Warriors, 30% Hunters, 20% Warlocks, 10% Everything else.
The decks manages to deal with zoo, great % against warriors (Harrison Jones MVP), Still above 50% against hunter but some midrange builds are hard to deal with but 3-7 against Handlock and Malylock.
Some of you are suggesting changes, I am going to list the ones that I have experienced in my testing with reasonable success:
-1 Zombie Chow +1Kezan Mystic Destroys Mage & Hunter even more (If freeze mage it changes totally the matchup)
-1 Stampeding Kodo +1 Cabal Shadow Priest
-1 Shadow Madness +1 Cabal Shadow Priest
Really great deck. I was skeptical of the Stampeding Kodo instead of the Cabal Shadow Priest, but the fact that it is 5 mana is very important.
kodo sucks imo you can play cabal for one more
First of all, thank you for this amazing control deck Alx! I think you managed to create a good balance between early game survival and late game control. Thanks to this deck I came back to Priest, a class I thought boring, mainly because of all the lists that play Priest as midrange.
I have been playing your list for the last week and a half, getting around 80 ranked wins with it and going from rank 17 to 4. Only difference is I've been playing 1 Ooze instead of Harrison (dusted his gold version twice), and tbh ooze has done well, especially against faster matchups like rogue and hunter. I think its so effective cause it lets you do stuff after/before playing it, even tho you do lose card draw (which I think the deck can survive without), and maybe its just my personal experience, but many games are decided with few cards in both decks, meaning that using it in jaraxxus' weapon against handlock would probably kill me. I have faced mostly Handlocks, Malygoslock, Grim Patron, Control Warrior and some Face/Midrange Hunter.
Got a couple of doubts regarding some cards tho:
Sylvanas: I read the card and I love it. Then i play it and im not so sure about her. Have you ever considered switching it for another legendary in the same cost (cairne maybe)? Or perhaps a non legendary defensive minion such as sunwalker? Or maybe some card draw in the form of early game minions. Thing is, from all the games I played, I've only used her to steal a good minion twice, and I feel she is just a value card but with no real purpose in the deck (except the ocasional Sylvanas + Voljin = Trade or Sylvanas + SW:D). Maybe we are missing some card Priest can benefit more from in that slot. Or maybe I have to accept what everyone says about her.
Kodo: I like how it works, really good with this deck, solid body, resists lightbomb. I know it can be replaced with a second Cabal, but I think a big advantage is cost 5, which works great for our curve. Have you tried anything else in that cost? Right now I dont feel a second Cabal would be as strong, considering I dont see good cards to steal without Shrink.
Thanks again for an awesome contribution!
i really want a proof of you becoming rank 4 :D You read sylvanas just now, and still managed to get to rank 4? Hell, I'm still around rank 5 and i've been playing the game for almost 3 months. that's crazy man.. :D
Really? Proof of rank 4? Like it means something. Its either Legend or doesnt count, its just grinding (we are talking about rank 4, not top 4 in legend). I've been playing the game since beta, and maybe you misunderstood what I meant when I mentioned Sylvanas. What I meant was that I liked the card, but never got the results Im expecting from a powerful effect like that, that maybe there's some other card to be used instead, not that I just literally read the card.
I love this deck. I'm 5-0 so far with 2 of my opponents rage quiting since I have an answer to everything. Running rag instead of vol'Jin any one know a better replacement for vol'jin?
Try Loatheb, you may find Hogger interesting too
Lightbomb can destroy handlock and we have two of them, it still a hard matchup in my opinion but not autolose.
What is a good replacement for vol'jin?
Loatheb

So many concessions from aggro after shadow madness or deathlord...
Yeah, this works really good against agro, just be careful with Cancer Paladins and their Divine Favor
Hello Alx,
THanks for the deck, i'm having mixed results. Do you guys think that this deck is capable of reaching legend? this is very much different than amaz's last deck. which is also awesome..
Random update on ladder progress I'm rank 6 at the moment so deck is still working out well :) been laddering pretty much exclusively with this deck this season, though I did make a few minor adjustments. Like davicarneiro below, I also swapped out Stampeding Kodo for Cabal Shadow Priest additionally I swapped one Zombie Chow for Wild Pyromancer and lastly changed one Holy Fire for an Antique Healbot. I find that having the extra shadow priest is really nice with the synergy shrinkmeister provides. Vol'jin I feel has won me a few games as well, often it's nice for baiting removal like an execute so you can safely play ysera later.
Anyways great deck :)
Thanks for this deck. I don't have Vol'jin and Harrison Jones. I replaced them with Acidic Swamp Ooze and Kezan Mystic. Works well for me. Thank you very much
Do you think this would be viable if I used Sen'jins instead of the Deathlords? I just tend to run into trouble with Deathlord -- more often than not, it helps my opponent in a major way. Only rarely do they not have an immediate way of dealing with it.
Another thing that I'm finding problematic is the lack of a solid 2-drop minion. I mean, yes you have the pair of Shrinkmeisters, but those are generally intended to be used as part of a combo with something else (Cabal, SW:P, Shadow Madness). I suppose you could put one out there on turn 2 if you have nothing else to play -- but usually when I'm playing Priest, I tend to mulligan Shrinkmeister because it is more valuable later in the game.
So if I don't have a zombie chow in my opening hand, and then my opponent gets rid of the deathlord i play on turn 3... suddenly he has a big minion on the board (from the deathrattle) and my next opportunity to play a minion isn't until turn 5 (cause there are no 4-drop minions in the deck either)... at which point I'm so behind on the board that I'm completely reliant on a Lightbomb to save me.
I don't know... I'm probably not playing it correctly. ANy suggestions would be welcome.
What you are describing is the weakspot I cover with the deathlords, If you change them for sen'jins you should reinforce the deck with early board contenders.
Yes, the deck is actually quite OP now that I have practiced with it some. I prefer the Sen'jins myself, but I think that is just more of a personal choice. I really enjoy playing this deck, thanks for sharing it. Have you considered using 2 Kodo AND 1 cabal?
Did you make it any higher than rank 4?
No, I have not much time and probably I have around 80 games played this season, I will update with more experience, meanwhile share yours.
