Obligatory appropriate music - theme from Magnum Force by Lalo Schifrin.
"Feelings?!? Look, mate - you know who's got a lot of feelings? Blokes wot bludgeon their wife ta death wif a golf trophy. Professionals have standards. Be polite! Be efficient. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet." - The Sniper, TF2
After listening to the discussion of Midrange Hunter on the Angry Chicken, I was interested in a deck that used three distinct cards: Feign Death, Quick Shot and Steamwheedle Sniper. Not finding a deck that included all three, I decided to make my own - and I am very pleased so far with the results!
This deck is extremely flexible. You can play it as straight Control, clearing the board of enemy minions and aiming yourself towards big plays. You can also lean more in an Aggro direction if your opponent is playing a distinctly Control-flavored deck (most Warriors, Handlock/Demonlock, etc). The tools at your disposal for controlling the board - Hunter's Mark, Quick Shot, your traps - are just as good for general clearing as they are for removing taunts or other obstacles to a quick win. You can adapt the deck easily to your personal playstyle.
Since I opt to play this as a Midrange deck, the Mulligans and Matchups below are written up from that perspective. If the deck gets enough likes, I'll do a Control section as well. However you play it, have fun with the deck, and may your aim be true!
EDIT 1: Given the propensity of aggressive decks in the 14-13-12 bracket of the ladder, I swapped out a Freezing Trap for an Explosive Trap.
EDIT 2: For similar reasons, swapped the Azure Drakes out for Antique Healbots.

Since i don't have Steamwheedle Sniper, i added 1 more Wild Pyromancer and Animal Companion. I know that i just ruined your deck, but it plays not bad and really fun actually :D
In my experience, you can out-pace a control deck if you focus on doing as much damage as possible, as quickly as possible. Hero Power, an early Bow, and quick minions like Webspinner, Mad Scientist, and Piloted Shredder are big helps with this. Hold onto Quick Shot, Hunter's Mark, and traps so you can deal with taunts or other threats, and they'll be using most of their damage on removing your minions while you're whittling down their health. Hence why I classify this deck as Midrange rather than Control!
This is a solid deck. I've been playing it completely as a control deck instead of midrange and it started winning. It's strange because when you're playing it, it just feels like something isn't fitting quite right in every game, but it just keeps coming up with the answer for almost every deck. It's definitely a little more difficult when your opponent gets you low early, but the meta seems to be a little more mid range on NA today.
This isn't a bad idea! One of the reasons this deck idea appealed to me is its flexibility. You can definitely play it as straight Control, or you can roll with your opponent's deck choice and lean more towards Aggro if you feel they're doing something more slow-paced.
A hearty LOL for this in my 2nd game
That's the best board I've ever seen. I love the madness of Kel'Thuzad.
Also, auto +1 for TF2 reference
Just trying this out... seems fun!
