Beast rogue is a new and exciting way to play a class that previously relied only on boring cards such as Gadgetzan Auctioneer, Tinker's Sharpsword Oil, and Blade Flurry. Now, you can have the almighty power of beasts in your hand and begin your reign of terror over the top 10 legend spots in your region. What makes beast rogue so powerful is its ability to pull together a completely different and reliable win condition in every matchup. Beast rogue can achieve consistent OTK's in the late game while still maintaining a strong board presence to control the first turns. Over the course of this guide, the vast knowledge required to utilize the true power of this deck shall be provided in easy to understand sections.

Section 1: Card explanations

This section will go through the deck list and explain the purpose of each card in your quest for certain victory.

Backstab: While it may be tempting to use this card to create tempo, it absolutely must be saved for your beast-a-licious OTK when facing warriors. This will be explained later.

Preparation: This card is instrumental in your OTK against mage, warlock, shaman, and warrior.

Shadowstep: In matches where it is not required for an OTK, Shadowstep can provide additional value out of your battlecry minions such as Razorfen Hunter, Tinkmaster Overspark, and Mind Control Tech.

Cold blood: While it turns out that most of your beasts are warm-blooded, this card is an integral part of even more OTK win conditions.

Eviscerate: In almost all cases, Eviscerate will be used to trigger the deathrattle of Piloted Sky Golem in order to add a Windspeaker to your hand for an OTK.

Gang Up: This card's primary purpose is to steal the Houndmasters and Timber Wolves of your hunter opponents. However, it also serves as a way to increase the amount of Hemets in your deck should you inevitably encounter more players harnessing the might of beast decks. In addition, this card can create even more copies of Razorfen Hunter in the event that your adversary decided to mess with Tuskerr. Gang Up also allows the theft of enemy Houndmasters without the use of a mind control effect or Faceless Manipulator.

Kidnapper: Kidnapper is used as a last resort when both your brewmasters are relaxing at the bottom of your deck.

Trade Prince Gallywix: Trade Prince Gallywix can only be put to full use in matches against face hunters. Since they tend to ignore all minions without taunt, Gallywix should do a fine job amassing beast synergy cards such as Kill Command and Unleash the Hounds.

Stonetusk Boar: While it may be tempting to get that 1 damage to the face right away, this card should always be saved for the OTK's which will be explained later.

Youthful Brewmaster: Your Youthful Brewmasters will be used mostly in conjunction with Razorfen Hunter in order to summon more copies of Tuskerr and with Faceless Manipulator or mind control effects to place the minion you stole into your hand. This play will be explained in the Faceless Manipulator section of this guide.

Deathlord: Your use of Deathlord revolves around turning its usually negative deathrattle into a part of your win condition. Against midrange hunter, you will use Deathlord to place his hound masters on the board before he would normally play them, allowing you to put one in your hand or deck with combinations of Faceless Manipulator, Mind Control Tech, Sylvanas, Youthful Brewmaster, and Gang Up. While Houndmaster is preferred, cards which offer beast synergy such as timber wolf are welcome targets as well.

King Mukla: In addition to being a beast, King Mukla can be used to fool your opponent into thinking that they are facing a mill rogue as opposed to the almighty beast rogue.

Mind Control Tech: Mind Control Tech is just one of the ways you can steal Houndmaster so he can be activated by Youthful Brewmaster or Gang Up.

Razorfen Hunter: Boring miracle rogue decks use Violet Teacher to summon a flood of 1/1 minions. However, Violet Apprentices are meek and useless when compared to an onslaught of Tuskerrs, which are beasts. For maximum Tuskerr value, feel free to Gang Up or facelessly manipulate a Tuskerr to ensure your constant flood of 1 drops.

Tinkmaster Overspark: Tinkmaster Overspark called and he wants his 1600 dust back. Since this deck will have absolutely no problem keeping your opponent struggling to keep even a single minion on the board, Tinkmaster Overspark will act as a way to turn your 1/1 beasts into 5/5 beasts. In the event that your opponent is able to place a minion on the board which becomes a Devilsaur, Hemet has your back.

Ancient Brewmaster: This card is to be used as a last resort when you don't have a Youthful Brewmaster in hand.

Faceless Manipulator: This card is instumental in stealing powerful beasts such as Savannah Highmane as well as synergising with shadowstep and Youthful Brewmaster. More combos with this card will be explained later in the guide.

Hemet Nesingwary: Hemet Nesingwary is a way to counter the inevitable pile of beast decks that will arrive after this guide is released. Your rogue deck will easily win the battle for beast supremacy thanks to cards such as Shadowstep and Gang Up which allow you to mercilessly Hemet the shit out of all those who dare the challenge the authority of Valeera. Hemet is also required for when those beast preasts get jealous of your mighty Tuskerrs and Cabals one of them. Hemet can then assassinate the rogue boar. In high school they called him Hemet Ten-For-One Nesingwary.

Piloted Sky Golem: What the hell is a mech doing in beast rogue? The answer is simple. The deathrattle of this minion combined with Youthful Brewmaster will allow you to add a Windspeaker to your hand for some beastly OTK's.

Sylvanas Windrunner: You should know what to do with this deathrattle by now.

The Beast: What else are you supposed to put in a deck all about beast synergies? It's essentially a 9/7 for 6 mana considering the Finkle Einhorn isn't a beast and will be completely useless in the post-beast meta.

Core Hound: Hey, look! A seven drop that's better than Dr. Boom!

Nefarian: While it might seem odd to include a 9-cost dragon in a beast deck, Nefarian is required for almoast all of your OTKs. Youthful Brewmaster and Shadowstep can allow for even more Nefarianness in your games.

Section 2: Mulligan Startegy

While beast rogue is immensly complicated and takes several decades to play efficiently, the mulligan strategy is simple. Look at every card, and ask yourself if it is Razorfen Hunter. If it isn't, throw that garbage right back into the pile of newly earned legend card backs from which it came. Razorfen Hunter is required to fill your board with the might of Tuskerr early on. Count on your ample amounts of card draw to provide your OTK's.

Section 3: Game Winning Combos:

While these are not OTK's, they are instrumental in achieving a significant advantage over your opponent's weaker deck. If you can conceive of any more combos, please share them with the world in the comments section.

1) Tuskerr + Gang Up/Faceless Manipulator

No explanation needed. This gives you more beasts, and therefore more winning.

2) Razorfen Hunter + Shadowstep/Kidnapper/Youthful Brewmaster/Ancient Brewmaster

This is simply another way to put more Tuskerrs on the board.

3) Faceless Manipulator/Mind Control Tech/Sylvanas Windrunner + Shadowstep/Kidnapper/Youthful Brewmaster/Ancient Brewmaster

These cards allow you to steal valuable class minions with beast synergy you otherwise could not have. These include, Druid of the Fang, Houndmaster, Timber Wolf, and Tundra Rhino, King of Beasts, Starving Buzzard, and Scavenging Hyena.

4) Faceless Manipulator/Mind Control Tech/Sylvanas Windrunner + enemy Webspinner + Hemet Nesingwary

This intricate combination allows you to efficiently place the power of a random beast card into your hand.

Section 5: The OTKs

Beast rogue is unique because it features a completely different win condition for each class you are facing. Simple instructions for how to reliably perform these combos can be found below. Mage:

Turn 9: Play Nefarian and get 2 Unstable Portals.

Turn 10: Play The Beast and Shadowstep it back to your hand. Use both Unstable Portals. One portal should yield a Tundra Rhino, while the other should be a Faceless Manipulator.

Turn 11: Play The Beast for 4 mana and use cold blood on it twice, using Preparation before the second instance of the spell. Play Tundra Rhino and follow it by using Faceless Manipulator on The Beast for a total of 36 damage.

Warrior:

Some time on turn 2-7: Play Youthful Brewmaster and Shadowstep it back to your hand.

Turn 8: Play Piloted Sky Golem and Eviscerate it. Use the 0 cost Youthful Brewmaster to return the summoned windspeaker to your hand.

Turn 9: Play Nefarian, adding Charge and Rampage to your hand.

Turn 10: Play the Windspeaker and Shadowstep it back to your hand. Play The Beast and Shadowstep it back to your hand.

Turn 11: Play The Beast. Play the Windspeaker on The Beast. Use Cold Blood twice on The Beast. Backstab The Beast. Use Rampage on the Beast. Play Preparation and play Charge on The Beast for a total of 44 damage. That should be enough to deal with the armor.

Warlock:

Turn 9: Play Nefarian, adding two Power Overwhelmings to your hand.

Turn 10: Play Stonetusk Boar, and use both Cold Bloods and Power Overwhelmings on it. Use a Faceless Manipulator on the Boar for a total of 34 damage.

Shaman:

Turn 9: Play Nefarian, adding two Rockbiter Weapons to your hand.

Turn 10: Play Stonetusk Boar, and use both Cold Bloods and Rockbiters on it. Use a Faceless Manipulator on the Boar for a total of 30 damage.

Rogue:

Turn 9: Play Nefarian, adding two Cold Bloods to your hand.

Turn 10: Play Stonetusk Boar, and use all 4 Cold Bloods. Use a Faceless Manipulator on the Boar for a total of 34 damage.

Druid:

Some time on turn 2-8: Play Youthful Brewmaster and Shadowstep it.

Turn 9: Play Nefarian, adding Force of Nature and Savage Roar to your hand. Shadowstep Nefarian back to your hand.

Turn 10: Play Nefarian for 7 mana, adding two Savage Roars to your hand and use your 2-cost Youthful Brewmaster to return him to your hand.

Turn 11: Play Nefarian for a third time, adding two Innervates to your hand and use your 0-cost Youthful Brewmaster to return him to your hand.

Turn 12: Play Nefarian for the fourth time, adding two more Innervates to your hand.

Turn 13: Play Force of Nature, Savage Roar, all 4 Innervates, and then 2 more Savage Roars. Send a Stonetusk Boar to the face for style points and follow up with your treants for 31 damage.

Priest:

Some time on turn 5-7: Play Faceless Manipulator onto an empty board and Shadowstep it.

Turn 8: Play Piloted Sky Golem and Eviscerate it. Use the 0 cost Youthful Brewmaster to return the summoned windspeaker to your hand.

Turn 10: Play Stonetusk Boar. Use two Cold Bloods on it. Use the Windsppeaker on it. Use the Faceless Manipulator on it for a total of 36 damage.

Note: While this combo could be used against any class, it lacks the extra touch of using your opponent's own class cards to kill them.

Paladin:

Turn 9: Play Nefarian, adding two Blessing of Mights to your hand.

Turn 10: Play Stonetusk Boar, and use both Cold Bloods and Blessing of Mights on it. Use a Faceless Manipulator on the Boar for a total of 30 damage.

Hunter:

No need for an OTK here. Just demoralize them by using Gang Up on Houndmsaster stealing kill commands with Nefarian,

Section 6: Thaurissan

Many people have asked why I didn't make lethal combos easier to pull off by including Emperor Thaurissan. However, this creates an unreliable strategy, as you cannot win the game in a timely manner if he is in the bottom of your deck.

That concludes the guide to beast rogue. May your legend rank be low, may your Tuskerrs be many.

If enough people are interested I might make a guide to pirate mage.
