What do you guys think of Emperor Thaurissan instead of Sylavanas?

I am starting to really enjoy this deck, just probably stunned some hunter who thought he had the win for sure ;)  Next turn he would have killed me, but I took him down from 19 to 0 and didn't even attack with my drake :D (also the ancient watcher can't attack).

I recently made this change too and so far so good.

Love this deck already got rank 4 with it.  Hope will be able to hit legend. I think it is best list for tempo mage right now. And definitely agree that it is not agro deck it is more mid range type.

Neither Polymorph nor silences??? What do we do in case of Sylvanas, Ysera, Bile Belcher, Malygos, Deathwing, Thaddius (or his summoners), Cairne Bloodhoof or alikes?

We hit face till opponent dies in such cases

Mulligan guide? I am inexperienced with playing Mage. Also, why no Polymorph or Big Game Hunter? How do I stop Ragnaros?

no rag, no antonidas. Some Rag subs?(chrommagus,thalnos,nefarian etc)

I think chrommagus is good candidate for a sub since he doesn't mess up the curve and he helps fix this decks card advantage problem that I've been having. I would also consider nefarian since he gives you spells you can use to activate mana wyrm and flamewaker or maybe run a second flamestrike.

I have been using Pyroblast instead of Rag and I have found that it works great

Great List!  Totally wrecked the first three games!  Counter Spell from Mad Scientist locks down their AoE nicely!

I disagree, flamestrike is really what sets this deck apart from the other tempo mages I've tried. It's saved my ass many a time against patron warriors. 

Went from rank 19 to 11 with this deck. Good deck.

Win streak from 19 -> 13 then back to 14. xD

Really nice deck but when you don't have something on the board and keep drawing spells mid/endgame you're pretty much screwed.^^

First loss was vs. a shaman who ran a pretty normal midrange deck and it ended in topdecking.

I got Majordomus from Unstable Portal in the end when he had board control.

He topdecked Lightning Storm with 2 spell dmg creatures on the board and thus easily killed my Majordomus. :(

I had 2 HP, his were at 13. No cards in Hand. I topdeck Portal and geeeeeet.... Old Murc-Eye T_T

My ragnaros Hero Power attacked face and in the end i was missing 3 dmg to win. -_-

From there on RNG totally fucked me over every game...

Yesterday went from rank 15 to rank 11 with this deck.

Seem to be working much better then other tempo mages decs

I think it is working because of meta adjustments like Kezan , Flamestrike 

And Loatheb also helps a lot to temp out your opponent. Sometimes Just 1 turn is enough.

I'm playing with this deck minus sylvanas and replaced with nefarian because he is fun and no sylvanas

I went from rank 15 to 8 with only 1 loss.

can anyone suggest any other card replacement for sylvanas(nefarian is fun but too rng to climb)
