I played this deck all day today and its a fun new twist on traditional handlock but not sure if its really better. Definitely go Volcanic Drakes over Azures; I was really surprised at how easy they were to cast - if you trade one minion it costs 4 and its often free after something like hellfire. Still experimenting with how many of the high end to run: Nefarian, Chromaggus, Alexstraza, Jaraxxus....haven't found the right mix yet.

Handlock is winning easily vs. this deck.

I'd say I agree with what Kripparrian said in his recent video, dragon handlock is just a shittier version of handlock.

I decided to try out this deck, as I have everything on the list except for Lord Jaraxxus.  I replaced it with Volcanic Drake, and I'm in love with how this card plays in this deck... Such great tempo swings, and another dragon in the deck to activate the "holding" mechanic.

Not to brag or anything... but I've got golden Jaraxxus ;) 
Actually I crafted him back in the day when nat and leeroy got nerfed, giving a full dust return.

Hey Baymen,i think this is my favourite deck right now. I'm having fun and enjoying ladder right now (except the face-hunter games, but they just last like 1-2mins, so wayne). I have played a ton of Handlock in the past and this seem to transition so well into another new theme of "Handlock" with Dragons. As i am playing Druid quite often as well, because i like the midrange-style your Dragonlock fits thematically right in between these!

Interesting concept. You mention issues with aggro, and after trying the deck a bit I think it's mostly because of your card choices, not because the deck is inherently going to be bad against aggro. Some swaps that may work:

+ 1 Mortal Coil

+ 1 Defender of Argus

-1 Azure Drake

-1 Something else

Not sure on the something else, but 2 azure drake is definitely too many in a warlock deck, even if you want dragon synergy. You have plenty of dragons already. Also, in a handlock-style deck with 2 Blackwing Techs, 2 Defender seems mandatory, especially if you are having problems with aggro. Mortal coil is just a strong card in the deck, I think, and 2 makes the aggro matchups marginally easier (though I think adding the second is less mandatory than the argus)

I like Alex more than Jaraxxus. At the moment Jaraxxus is only good in the matchups which are already heavily favored (priest and warrior) and Alex is a dragon which can heal you against aggro and put a big body on the board. It can also provide instant lethal with 2 giants on board.

Where did u read this deck is legend? Cannot understand your comment. And of course u can get legend with a slower deck. Especially hen the aggros run out of steam. So i dont see ur point at all

I do know there doesn't exist a "replacement" for Dr, Boom
However I do not have him, but I have Onyxia and since this is a dragon deck - would she be a viable replacement?

After a couple of runs with it I agree - Onyxia really does a huge difference!
