Whats up guys, CameronChaoss here, creator of the popular Chaoss Shaman back in early GvG. This is my new Shaman deck (can you tell I really like Shaman?) that has been doing REALLY well on ladder as of right now. No bad match ups I've noticed so long as you mulligan correctly. Write up to come as popularity increases, but for now I'll explain the cards I DIDN'T include since I know some of you probably crapped your pants looking at this deck list. I had to cut some "staples" for Shaman in order to fit all of the cards I really wanted in here, and the result is probably one of the most powerful Shaman decks in the meta right now.

Why Don't You Include...

Earth Shock?
You have Hex, you don't need Earth Shock. You don't see Mage running 2 Polymorph with 2 Ironbeak Owl do you? It's time to move on girls. "Not even one?!" I already here your nasally ass voice saying. No. Not even one.

Lightning Bolt?
No Unbound Elemental to synergize with Lightning bolt. Also, you have Rockbiter Weapons. No need for 2 more 3 damage cards. It's a waste of a card slot and throws the mana curve too low. This is the future we live in.

Crackle?
When Crackle came out, I loved it, but Shaman has two huge problems I tried to remedy here:
1) Not enough card draw
2) Too RNG based
Crackle is beautiful, but including it meant leaving fate up to RNG more frequently than I'm comfortable with and I'm not down with that.

Mana Tide Totem?
I understand you're fuming, but listen to me. You don't need it. I promise. That piece of shit only ever draws once card. I almost NEVER get more than that out of it, so screw it. If I'm only drawing one card from it I might as well free up some space to throw in the two Azure Drakes that weren't originally in this deck when I first built it.

Lava Shock?
Lava Shock was in the original build of this deck, and it was pretty good, but I decided I'd rather have Ysera and Sylvanas. They work much better. This deck doesn't have THAT much overload, so it really isn't a huge deal to not run it.

Big Game Hunter?
You have Hex, and a bunch of cards that allow you to trade up. Shaman doesn't need BGH.

Card Explainations

2x Rockbiter Weapon:
Arguably one of the best removal cards in the game. Slap one on a totem to trade up, or your face to take out something without injuring your minions. Also, put one on Al'Akir for a 12 damage finisher, two for an 18 damage finisher, or 2 with a Flametongue Totem already on board for a staggering 22 damage.

1x Zombie Chow:
Good in the early game against any deck, but best as anti-aggro. Piece of shit in the late game due to his +5 health for the enemy. Since you don't want to give the enemy 10 health over the course of the game, only 1 is fine

2x Flametongue Totem:
Allows totems to trade up, and weaker minions to trade with heavier minions. Perfect synergy with your hero power allows this card to be a staple in almost every Shaman deck worth playing.

2x Haunted Creeper:
Synergy with Flametongue Totem, good anti-aggro capability (especially face fucker with their shitty 1-health minions) and general stickiness of this card earned it a place as my two-drop of choice for this deck.

2x Feral Spirit:
Such a strong turn 3 play, especially vs aggro. I would avoid coining this out on turn 2 unless you have a 1 mana card in hand that you think you'll be able to play. It's a huge tempo loss if you do.

2x Hex:
Polymorph, but better! Every Shaman needs two. Save these for big scary minions for some easy removal. Against Face Hunter use it whenever you need to. There's no real wrong target so long as it saves you some health.

Budget Replacements for Legendaries

Okay, if you got to this point, you're probably either very interested, or about to hit that x button on your tab, but listen. Despite the deck looking like it has no card draw I never run out of cards too early. This deck runs the stickiest minions that will very often 2 or 3 for 1, and a sort of sneaky, hidden card draw in the forms of Neptulon and Ysera. The deck has a very well distributed mana curve, and allows you to come straight out the gate, and not lose steam as early as many other Shaman decks would.

So give it a try and if you like it, let me know, and if you think it's trash, let me know and then go back to playing Hunter. This deck isn't brainless. It requires a lot of thought. Shaman is a pretty hard class to play, but if you can pilot this deck well, you WILL see results.
