In just over a week we will be saying goodbye to this deck with the rotation of flame waker. I will therefore no longer be updating this deck, however feel free to check out my new variate of tempo mage whihc uses the mage quest! http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/767916-tempo-quest-mage-legend

Thanks for the support :)

Wait, how can this be a mean street of gadetzan deck you ask, without any MSoG cards? Good question, however tempo mage has always been really solid and especially with the Mad Bomber in this version I feel it is really great. The reason I run Mad Bomber is because it's great against aggro decks with all those pesky pirates and it's also great against jade golem decks killing off all their 1/1's and 2/2's.

Mullgian phase:

Overall: Hard mulligan for Mana Wyrm, this is ur best starting card with Mad Bomber being the card you want second most followed by Sorcerer's Apprentice. Never keep any card that cost 3 mana or more, except sometimes flamewaker.

Going First: You always want to be playing minions proactively, therefore never keep Frostbolt and if you have 2 Arcane Missiles mulligan one away. Only keep Flamewaker in the case you have a 1 mana and 2 mana minion already, otherwise mulligan it as its pretty useless without coin and you don't want to be playing passively and collecting cards waiting to go all out with a Flamewaker combo if you're first.

Going second: Going second is often more flexible as there are two ways you can play the game regardless of your opponent's class. Either you can play very tempo orientated and push damage, similar to how you would play going first however it is more risky and requires a more optimal draw usually with Sorcerer's Apprentice. Or, you can play a couple of spells as removal and play a water elemental and gather cards, going for a big swing turn with Flamewaker. Try and play proactively following the first style, however if you find you draw mostly spells and not enough early game minions switch to the second style. Regardless, I almost always will keep arcane missles, Flamewaker, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Mana Wyrm, Arcane Blast, Mad Bomber and sometimes a Frostbolt, always keep one if you already have a Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Matchups: Listed best to worst. An estimate as I haven't played against some of the decks enough to have stats.

1) Miracle rogue

2) Jade druid

3) Water rogue

4) Anyfin Paladin

5) Renolock

6) Renopriest

The follow matchups are more even and depend more and draw, skill and tech choices.

7) Control warrior

8) Jade Shaman

9) Pirate warrior

10) Aggro Shaman

Here they begin to become unfavoured for tempo mage.

11) Dragon Priest

12) Zoo

13) Dragon warrior

14) Very Agrresive aggro shaman

Hope you enjoy the deck, if there are any specific matchups I forgot, or if you would like to know how to play against in more detail please comment below, Thanks!
