This is the deck I used to beat Heroic Razorgore. The key to this fight is controlling the eggs. Wild Pyromancer + Equality is your board reset and is cheap at just 4 mana. If you have built your board and want to preserve your minions, try Equality + Consecration.
Before you have the mana for those combos, you need deal with the eggs in the early game. That's where Crazed Alchemist and Ironbeak Owl come in. In case of emergency you can let an egg hatch if you have Big Game Hunter or Humility in hand to deal with the 7/7 that comes out, but it's ideal to save these cards for his other big creatures.
It's very easy to run out of cards, so use Azure Drake for draw and also a nice 3 damage Consecration.
Tirion Fordring is a great damage soaker and the Ashbringer can smack several eggs or big creatures for you.
Kel'Thuzad is almost a guaranteed win with the board control he provides.
Beware of Bloodlust! Keep that board clear.
Hope this steers you in the right direction! Leave a thumbs up if you find this helpful, thanks.
P.S. Make sure to check out my deck for Heroic Vaelastrasz: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/235168-brm-heroic-vaelastrasz-zoo-priest
Additional bosses to come.
1st try win! Played Tridion turn 8 then lucky enough to top deck Kel afterwards
The deck is really nice i will make only one recomandation; add a second mind control tech! He really helps against this matchup especially if you steal an egg!
PS: It worked on my second try!
Great! second try!
Thanks, took 2 or 3 good tries to get board control but worked.
Well it wasn't easy and took a few goes but a lot of it depends on your opening hand. The mulligan guide was really useful.
Just wanted to say a personal thanks for this, gj.
Haven't counted how many attempts, more than five. Even when everything went right, I got destroyed.
Worked wonders for me on my 1st try, although him not drawing any aoe was a huge bonus. I let his board fill up with 7 eggs and kept myself above Bloodlust range with the 2 Holy Lights I added. Keep his eggs under 4 HP and hit face with anything leftover.
Good idea, divine favor can end up being a dead card. I'll update the deck.
I don't have a second Big Game Hunter, so i replace it with a Stampeding Kodo
Very easy. Won with 1st try.
Just an idea, i stuck Baron Geddon in mine, absolutely destroys this match :) The control you have over the eggs makes it so strong
first try!
Won 2nd try: Tirion -> KT like TS said.
Got it on the first try! Almost went to fatigue, but stick with it. Once he's just top decking each turn, you're golden.
Won first try! +1
I recommend this deck! I built my own deck that had no issue beating normal but mana curve was too low to beat Heroic so I modified a few times and arrived at a deck 2 cards different from this. +1
Clutch Consecration really saved me to make this work on the first time, this deck is consistent but may take you a couple tries without drawing Equality + Consecration or Wild Pyromancer + Equality by Turn 4 or 5. Then when his board is filled again about 5 turns later you need another one and it should be smooth sailing from there.
Great deck, thanks! I added in KT, LoH, Mind Control Tech, and Muster for battle w/knife juggler, as I don't have TF, and didn't feel like juggling the pyro spells.
Worked first time!
I overlooked Mind Control Tech, great addition. I started with Knife Juggler and Muster at first but I didn't know if it would be enough damage to keep the eggs at bay. Glad it worked for you!
Thanks, I eventually got him with this. Didn't have a 2nd BGH so used Kel'Thuzad which helped a lot in the game where I finally won.
I played this deck and it worked very well, took 3 tries.
I should probably say to everyone still trying this deck that I -never- even considered using the consecrate/equality combo, because the pyromancer/equality combo works way better. Less mana, and by the time you can play it, he probably has a ton of things on board and you don't really have anything. Tirion also really seals the deal for this deck as well; his 6 attack fits perfectly with almost all of his minions. I would try to save the argent protectors for Tirion. I trust that if you don't have Tirion, that you can replace it with others, but Tirion can definitely save you. As others have said, try Kel'thuzad. I'm not exactly certain that it's better than Tirion, but if you have a board built, it can only help.
I also never hit face until I knew I had perfect board control. Always be paranoid of his bloodlust and dragon's breath; they both sunk me for the first two games.
My opening hand was two crazed alchemists and a pyromancer; try to shoot for that opening hand.
Anyway, great deck, keep it up.
