** Season 14 Update **
The Recent changes are for the rush to legend :) Played the deck today with a 80% Winrate from 16-5 in some hours :)! It was a huge success :D Loved it!
Hello my friends!
I want to present you my Grim Patron Warrior Deck. I had some great Sucess recently with it bouncing up the ladder into the higher reagions. If you dont want to read and hear all the explanations no problem! At the botom you can find the full video guide!
The Deck:
Inner Rage? = Must have to beat those nasty Belchers or for early combo on Turn 5/6 to make at least 4 Patrons. Also great counterplay to Boom/Ancient of Lore/Just everything with 5 Hp!
Loot Hoarder? = Cardraw + Enemy has to deal with this Bastard! Make him waste his removel or mana so you can continue drawing drawing drawing.
Grommash? = Not a must have but definitly won me alot of match ups. Definitly a great minion in the Hunter Matchup or in the Mirror for suprise burst. Handlock/Demonlock feels sometimes unwinnable without. Replacement - Unstable Ghoul or Dread Corsair
Why no Commanding Shout?
Often the card is plainly getting played because of card draw reasons. It is a really late game card together with the Combo it is a Turn 10 card if it happens earlyer you would have mostly won without it anyways. I prefer inner rage over it because it allows me to kill belchers and create new patrons without having everyone on 1hp!

I faced huntard 13 times in 62 games from rank 10 to rank 4, 3 or 4 of those were midrange. Obvious cunt.
Wow so mad.
Don't call someone a liar then boy.
It would if you had more than 30 cards a deck. Other cards are more important. Also it's a bit of a win more card. You need to have board control + multiple patrons to use it effectively.
I replied earlier on how amazing this deck is, and since then I've made it to legend rank 47 NA. Proof: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dkvgzpkap08h8ef/Hearthstone Screenshot 04-28-15 20.34.49.png?dl=0
i dont have taunts on this deck but instead acolyte of fire combos, but yeah i agree with that that Grommash because you somewhat need a finisher when the opponent clears your grim patron board
P4wnyhof da man!! :)
Biggest doubt with this deck is: do I need Warsong Commander on board to get the patrons rolling? If so, it`s a T8/9 combo ( most times you're dead by then). Or can I get a T5/6 double Patron with Inner rage/ Whirlwind? Sometimes when I do this they get removed and bye bye combo...
Dont think Im playing this right...
It's helpful to understand that the combo is not strictly vital to winning. If you keep trying to go full combo on turn 8, you're going to lose a lot of games you didn't need to lose. Different classes have different answers at different times to this sort of attack, and you need to adapt your strategy to what they might have access to and when, the same way you do with Loatheb. Running out an early Patron vs a Hunter might be fine even if you don't have a whirlwind or anything, but it's not going to be right to do that vs a mage or shaman pretty much ever. And sometimes you just have to accept that this is a deck that turns from being way ahead to being way behind on a dime, and you can't guess right every time.
Also, be very aware of exactly how many resources you're investing into the combo. It can be easy to pull off some fancy plays to clear their board and get a full board of 7 Patrons and think it's awesome, only to realize that you don't actually have a hand anymore and you're one board clear away from death. Sometimes getting two guys on the board is better than over-committing.
Correct, Grommash and Dr. BS fulfill the same role and are therefore interchangeable. However due to the nature of this deck I.E. the self damaging mechanic Dr.Balanced is the poorer pick of the two.
Grommash is one of the few cards in the game that create an instant win condition. Dr. OP is good, but primarily gives good bored control and not a win condition (Anymore than any other high stat card)
whats your take on bouncing blades on this deck?
Grim Patron + Bouncing blade is a great combo. However you must remember that this is a two card 8 mana cost play that requires an otherwise empty bored to achieve maximum value.
Dont have grom, what to replace?
EDIT: maybe a gorehowl?
that deck gave me a boner.
How do you do when you have some spells like battlerage, whirlwind or exectute stuck on hand?
This happen to me almost the half of the games, i draw so manny spells in early and dont find way to control board. I loose some games for that, is usually draw the combo very early plus some of this spells and dont play anything until turns 7 or 8.
put in gnomish inventors, then loothoarders
I have it in the deck, the problem is when i dont draw this cards.
My problem with this deck is i feel so draw dependant and sometimes win easily and the others loose without any option, and I dont know is im so unlucky or if i dont play correct.
you're a warrior
now, that's probably my least played class, but: you have armor, and that's the point. With this deck, more than others, you have to wait for worthwhile combos. You *could* play your armorsmith, acolyte, and whirlwind for lots of armor (if they have a board), but why do that? Use your weapon wisely. Use your removal (execute, 1 dmg ping with cruel taskmaster, etc) with great care.
Enemy minions with 1/2 attack are your friends. Don't dispose of them willy nilly, they contribute to all of your combos.
he's been changing it on stream, this is just a snapshot of the development
Personally i've been running my own list (with a very special/secret innovation) i encourage you to do the same! :)
