Update: Having trouble getting it to work? I have substitution ideas later on in the write up. Maybe try this strategy with a different class, each class can work with this strategy, some better than others, I personally have won using this strategy with Warlock, Priest, Mage, Hunter, and Warrior.
Take advantage of drakkisath's Mindgames with the only minion in your deck, Majordomo Executus. and Lightbomb.
Mind Vision and Thoughtsteal can be used to fish for his copies of Drakkisath's Command and Twisting Nether if you don't start with Lightbomb
He plays Mindgames and summons your Majordomo Executus, you use Lightbomb(recommended) or other removal, then race ragnaros' hero power with spells
Here is some game play video courtesy of Kizaru1
Note: I tried to make the deck as cheap as possible, but I needed 29 spells, so some were bound to be useless. If you have the cards though, you can replace 1 or two of the useless spells, such as Shadow Word: Pain with a second Lightbomb or even your very own Mindgames
Having trouble getting Drakkisath to play his Mindgames? Consider adding 1 Doomsayer to your deck, turn 1 this can force Drakkisath to play Mindgames if he has it in his hand.
Proof of top three decks for BRM wing 3
Well of course not, but how am I supposed to know if he has mindgames in his hand? It took me like 30 tries to get the doomsayer (and not have him summon it on his side using mindgames) and then he just destroyed it. Tried for another 10 minutes, but when I finally got it again he just destroyed it straight away - again!
I mean in order to get this to work you have to get the Doomsayer early, he has to play Mindgames instead of killing it and you have to have lethal within like two rounds to not die when he's in 'Ragnaros the Firelord'-form - and RNGesus at least doesn't allow me such luck.
Tried another deck and defeated him in 5 minutes.
STRRRRREEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
This deck is any example of the sad life of Majordomo.
Best deck so far for this RNG crazy boss.
Key things to remember, in case you didn't know:
This is my variation on it: http://www.hearthpwn.com/deckbuilder/priest#38:1;62:2;249:2;301:2;401:2;409:2;415:2;431:2;438:2;457:2;544:2;547:2;671:2;12297:2;12301:2;14456:1;
If I could + this 100 times I would...great deck and strat.
Fun Idea.... Thanks for sharing!
Only working if you're super lucky though....
The only decks that work involve luck...
Just did this with Mind Controling a Core Hound turn 2, and SW:D Majordomo when he Mindgamesed him out turn 3. I hit him in the face and won turn 3. It's a peculiar turn of cards that you both need to play, but it can be done a few ways.
2nd try.
on turn 2 i mind controled his 9 atk core hound and then death'd him down to 8 hp the next turn and swung in for the win. GREAT deck idea!
After 30 tries ...
Turn 1: Mass Dispel
MAX Tank + Lord Of the arena
Turn 2: Mind Control MAX Tank
6/6 Creature + War Golem , Face with Lord of the arena
Turn 3: Holy Fire in Lord of The arena and killed the war golem with MAX Tank
Mind Games + Core Hound , Face with 6/6 Creature
Turn 4: Holy Fire in Core Hound, MAX kills Marjodomo
8 Damage with hero power to my hero + 6/6 creature on my face
Turn 5: Resurrect MAX Tank and pass
8 Damage to MAX Tank ( divine Shield ) + 6/6 on my face
Turn 6: MAX TANK ON FACE + MIND BLAST
Wiiiinnn , Thank you NoaJWZ for the Resurrect clue and Valorie for the Deck Idea ;D
Beat him at third try, didnt beat him at first due to a very stupid misplay, thank you for this deck +1
Very interesting deck.
Whenever you have Mind Control x1 + Lightbomb x1 + Mind Blast x1 in hand means victory.
Better version of Alextrasa
sure... assuming he drops force tank, plays mind games on turn 2, and doesn't destroy/kidnapper your tank....
Great deck, first try
RNJesus hates me. 7+ games in a row, I end up starting with my only minion. Stupid random number generator. Still, one of the better "cheese" decks against this hyper frustrating boss.
Tried this deck about 20 times but gave up. Ended up using the Pally one from the front page and got it on first try without even drawing KT. I think large taunt minions are better than trying to get lucky with mind games. I even had mind games played on me one time but after he played it I had a hand of all 6+mana cost and after I killed Mojo I couldn't finish him off before I died.
I finally got a win, but it took 30+ tries. You basically have to lead with Doomsayer on turn one and make sure to not have Majordomo Executus in your hand. Then, it's just luck if he decides to run Mindgames instead of Sprint, [card]Drakkisath's Command[/card], or Twisting Nether. When I won, turn one I ran Doomsayer, so he played Mindgames, got Majordomo, they destroyed eachother, then I finished him with Mind Blast and Holy Fire.
30 Tries or so... Not. even. close. :(
Took 10 or so tries and some luck... seemed hopeless at first, but then it just works immediately right out of the gates. thanx
When i first saw the deck i was really amazed. But now i tried it and i don't think it is really effective. I needed a lot of tries and luck to beat him eventually. There are many things which has to work out to win. Even if he plays Mindgames really early and you can clear the board, which don'T happen so often, you start with 1 Mana and most likely nothing on the board. Since you don't have minions, you must deal the damage with spells. However, you don't have so many cheap cards with spell damage. At the same time he hits you in the face for 8 every turn and you often can't survive long enough to play spells like Holy Nova and Holy Fire.
Anyway, the idea itself is pretty cool and i am jealous that i didn't come up with that idea :D
Did they patch this already? He played Mindgames and summoned a Shadow of Nothing "Your opponent has no minions in their deck" but I had Majordomo in my hand so it's clearly in my deck.
